Out of touch….
The guy is unreal…said emphysema is NOT COPD, said there were no lung issues or lung diseases that cause chest pain…rude, and weird.

I had seen this doctor for a lung nodule. He and I agreed in our visit to have low CT scan every 3 months for one year- preventive and check on nodule changes. However, the hospital policy changed my tests to full CT scan. I had 3 full CT scans in one year- equivalent of 10 times more radiation in one year then the safety industry guidelines recommendation for one year- without my knowledge and agreement. At the end- the doctor retracted what he said in my office visit and sided with hospital to provide full CT scan. The answer from the hospital at my complaint was that was a "misunderstanding": Not a chance! I had my husband with me at the doctor visit and have the doctor's note - in writing -advising for low CT scan. Do not recommend this doctor or the hospital. I believe those changes were determined based on financial gain and totally ignored my health concerns and my wellbeing as a patient.

Dr. Lel is Fabulous!
I have been a patient of Dr. Lel since 2020, when I developed Asthma and lung issues at age 58 for the first time in my life (perhaps due to a possible case of Covid before they were testing.) I see him fairly regularly both in person and via video health. Dr. Lel really listens, and completely hears me. He gives me ample time during our visits. He really knows his stuff, and has many options up his sleeve to try. He is sensitive to my issues/sensitivities to various medications, and works with me to find the best solutions. Dr. Lel really explains what is going on, is very affable, and constantly reassuring. He has been an advocate for me with my workplace, and is immensely trustworthy. I see other reviews saying his office staff are rude, but I disagree! They are always lovely and really helpful to me. I recommend Dr. Lel and his staff highly!

Challenging Office
Can't communicate with Dr. Lel unless you make an appointment to see him. Hard to get information about testing. Staff did not know I was in the waiting area to see doctor when I had checked in and was sitting there. Office feels older and out of date, dirty.

Dr. Lel is a kind and extremely competent pulmonologist. I saw him for a lung issue I had last year and he continued to follow up with me after the situation was resolved to see how I was doing. Not many doctors show that level of concern. I highly recommend him.
