Dr Kavanagh is what I want in a doctor: no-nonsense, professional, willing to order tests, answers all questions. Come prepared. Don't expect her to imagine your questions or chit-chat. She and her staff are bound by all the frustrating documentation and forms that today's medicine requires, and that takes time and attention. Know what you want out of the visit, and she will meet your needs with efficiency and knowledge.

Saw Dr. Kavanagh twice and had a disappointing experience for the first visit and a terrible experience for the second visit. This office reflects everything that's wrong with the health system in the US- a lack of compassion and respect for their patients, awful communication, jaded doctor and nurses, rushed interactions, no efforts made to understand the patient as a person and the holistic influences on their health, and only explained treatments to me after I asked a lot of questions and insisted on being included in the diagnostic process. They didn't even attempt to obtain any of my prior medical records before proceeding to recommend new procedures and treatments. I only went here because I wanted an appointment as soon as possible and many places were booked too far out. Do not visit Dr. Kavanagh if you can avoid it.

I felt patronized & "put off" - trying to get help with a certain issue for 6 mos and keep hearing more than once, that I need to make another appt. Been thru that drill several times now. There is a focus on things I am not complaining of (frustrating). I have pointedly not gotten an answer when I asked questions about a change of dosage (eventually happened but this had to wait til some months later at ofc. appt.). My BP goes up every time I go there. I have had enough already. I gave this enough of a chance to work

Dr. Kavanagh is a good listener who spends adequate time with her patients. She is very pleasant and the most important comment is that she is an excellent clinician who provides the patient with the tests he or she needs and gets the patient on a plan of treatment that the patient can understand. And unlike many physicians today, she is very available to her patients.

incompetence of the office administrative staff to the doctor herself. I scheduled the appointment for a physical months in advance and then when I got there was told they don't do physicals for new patients - no one told me this when I scheduled my appointment. Dr. Kavanagh was more interested in adhering to the restrictions of the office's dysfunctional system than addressing any of my medical needs. I will never go back Dr. Kavanagh and would advise others to avoid this doctor.

Arrived 20 minutes early for appointment for a physical. 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I still had not seen Dr Kavanagh. I asked a nurse if the Dr. was here today. She said she didn't know. A nurse later took me to a room where I again waited. Later another nurse asked who I was. The wait seemed excessive as the waiting room was virtually empty - so empty desk staff was talking about/doing online shopping for hair dryers & make-up. Staff should inform patients of wait times.

Felt she was very short and dismissed things I worried about. Lucky if she gave me 15 minutes of her time. Very cold and rushed.

Dr. Kavanagh is very thorough and very kind. Very good PCP. The office is a little disorganized as one time her appointments ran pretty late. However, that only happened once and she herself is a good doctor.

Had a very bad experience where test results took one month to be returned. Everyone in the office blamed each other and no one took responsibility. Wouldn't go back to an office this disorganized and lacking such care. Will stay away from all of the University medical affiliates from now on.

Dr Kavanagh .I asked for a pregnancy test and was given a cup for my urine sample. Test was run a result was given to me. Later that day I see an email from UCH wish clinic from Dr Cavanagh with results of a full drug test and results of STD testing. My urine from pregnancy test was taken and decided by doctor that she was gonna use urine left and decide for herself that she wanted to to test me for drugs. And test results for a STD screening were also listed. She decided and swabed in me . Nev
