Doesn't listen and non 't refer
I had Dr. Miramontes for my kids, my husband and I for about 20years, so I know how she is as a doctor. She never listened to my problems or concerns and definitely wouldn't listen to those of my children either. I regret keeping her for so long, but in retrospect, I saw the NP an awful lot of the time.

More Focused on Profit than Patient Health
My fiancé and I wanted to be set up with the same primary Dr. last year so we went with Dr. Miramontes. My fiancé has been in serious need of an ENT specialist and I have experienced mild digestive issues. For just under a year she had denied a referral twice and was upset when outside medical treatment was sought. We now have a new primary treating the situation very seriously. It seems that the main priority for Dr. Miramontes is to keep visits short and keep all treatment in-house to maximize her patients seen and increase her profit, instead of taking the time to listen to her patient's concerns and do what is best for their health and wellbeing. If you are a young adult with an undiagnosed health concern, she will most likely write you off as statistically young and healthy. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!

Rude and Unhelpful
She was incredibly rude. Terrible bedside manners. She wouldn’t listen to me. She wouldn’t order a specific blood test for me. She just kept saying that I need to trust my doctor.

I've been with Dr. Miramontes a few years now, given that I wanted to switch to a doctor who was female awhile back to more comfortably discuss some lumps in my breast. I was 22 at the time, and I something about her manner of speaking when I first raised my concern made me feel stupid. She made me feel silly for asking about it due to my age. I realize now that I've felt both interrogated by and not listened to each and every time I've been to her. A little over a year ago, I had to see a nurse practitioner because she wasn't available and I had to hold back tears during the appointment due to how understanding and compassionate the NP was... I can't say that Miramontes has not helped me because she got me into a breast imaging appointment, scheduled rheumatology for my unexplained pains.... but something about her manner has just seemed off to me and seeing these other reviews, I guess I feel validated to say something, and empowered to find a different doctor.

Do not go see this Dr. she is rude and mean. She has no compassion to help others especially in her profession. I kept telling her that something was wrong and she brushed it off. Come to find out from other GOOD HELPFUL drs that I have a serious autoimmune disease. Stay away!

This is the worst doctor I have ever been to. She is extremely biased and insensitive. I am a teacher and when I explained to her my risks of CoVid in my classroom and asked to be put off of work she gave me a lecture that I need to report to work no matter what just like her and she risks her life everyday so I need to do the same. Only difference is I’m NOT A DOCTOR SHE SIGNED UP TO RISK HER LIFE not me. She was also upset that I didn’t want to take medication for anxiety. She hasn’t even done a physical exam and was already trying to write me prescriptions! She is irresponsible and contributing to opiate addictions no doubt. I was literally in tears sharing my stress and experience and she continued to lecture me. I have never felt more disrespected in my entire life. She is condescending and extremely biased and obviously hates teachers. I would not recommend this dr to my worst enemy! If I could give zero stars I would.

I hate writing negative reviews, but I feel it is my responsibility to warn others; DO NOT go to this Dr. She was my pcp for 6 years and for the first few years everything was okay. That is until I started to have actual issues and came in for more than a sports physical or infected ingrown nail. I have had so many horrible experiences with Dr. Miramontes within the past two years that I have left the office crying every single time. She never listened to me when I was suffering. She would speak over me every single visit and tell me I’m wrong. The last straw was when I went in to be treated for an early stage UTI. I’ve them many times in the past, so by now I know my body and can tell when I have one from the very start. I just wanted early intervention so I wouldn’t be in debilitating pain, but she essentially said “nope your fine” and refused to treat me. Less than 24hrs later I went to urgent care due to unbearable pain and was told I had a very obvious UTI.

I went with her because I wanted to stay with Peachwood and she was a female dr. I was hoping because of that, she would understand me as a patient more. Unfortunately she is an awful dr. I signed the whole family under her as a primary dr. Every visit I go, i would have co-pays because I had private insurance. I would wait 40+ mins and only be seen for 5-10 mins and rushed out. I lost my job for 2 months and had to get temporary medi-cal. I had an appt to refill my allergy meds. I went in for my appointment and was turned away completely. The receptionist went to inform her of my insurance change and Dr Miramontes would not see me at all even though I took off work hoping to get my allergy med re-fill. I thought she would accept medi-cal? I guess not. I wasted my time. They no longer wanted me as a patient because of the slight temporary change. I went off to find a different dr. After 2 months on medi-cal, I got my full work health insurance back. Never again would I return to her.

I hate throwing anyone under the bus, especially during the holiday season. But I absolutely agree with every one of the negative reviews here. Dr. Miramontes has almost consistantly been rude, condescending and abrasive. At times she has been what I can only describe as combatative, and has sometimes made us feel stupid for asking questions. My last visit was the last straw -- her attitude was completely inappropriate and inexcusable. I had just changed insurance and some of my medications were no longer covered. My new insurance company had sent me a detailed book listing all medications they would cover, listed alphabetically and by category, including an index. She said that she "didn't have time to look through a book" because she had an appointment of her own to make it to! Then she wrote another Rx for a med that it turned out would also not be covered. This was my reason for making the appt. in the first place! We immediately fired her. Avoid her like the plague.

Dr. Miramontes has been my family practice physician for over 21 years. She is extremely well educated, knowledgeable, and caring. She takes her time and explains everything. She is conservative--she takes nothing for granted. She does not deliver information on a possible negative in way that solicits popularity, but rather gives information related to reality, as well as the steps necessary to solve the problem. Through the years, she has handled medical issues big and small, and all are important to her. Dr. Miramontes is a true professional and an M.D. She has established a solid network of specialists and has referred me on several occasions to various specialists whom she deems appropriate to my situation. Getting to the right specialist has been critical to me. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Miramontes. I feel so lucky to have her as my family practice physician.

Rude, condescending, no people skills at all. I'm an RN and I would NEVER talk to patients the way she does. She removed history from my chart just because she couldn't see the results, in her words "I can only go off of what I can read". The MRI she couldn't see was from 2006 that I had done in a different state. Just because it's not in the EPIC documentation doesn't mean that it didn't happen and I wasn't diagnosed! So unprofessional! That is not how medical history works! Then she started drilling me about why was I taking depression medication, why didn't I want it increased, asked me 3 times if I was in therapy and wanted to know if there was a specific event that triggered my depression. At that point I wasn't going to share anything else personal with her. She then accused me of not getting my lab work done from a few months before. I told her I did have it done at another lab, she continued to talk over me and said when I decide to have my bloodwork done I could come back.

I have had this doctor for 3 years now, as of today she is fired as my primary. This past week I went in for some heart issues and symptoms. Well it took 4 days to even get in to see the cardiologist specialist-- because of lack of referral from her office. I had to go in personally every day to ask for updates because the phone lines either hang up on you or return your call within days. I left multiple messages for her and was told she would be out for about 5 days--?? horrible patient care. I luckily work for a hospital so i was able to see a cardiologist. My job needed forms signed by my physician clearing me to go back to work, well her office informed me A WEEK LATER, Dr. Miramontes was reviewing my forms but needed $25 per signature before she could fax me anything in order for me to return to work as her note had stated! Wow- needless to say I lost my cool-- the Cardiologist filled out my forms for FREE and got me back to work on time. I am done with this greedy physician.

Run! She is NASTY. She made my 15 year old daughter cry. My daughter's a pretty strong cookie but the way that the doctor was interrogating my daughter with questions, rudeness and attitude, my daughter broke down. She's never been treated this way by an adult, or anyone. Then the doctor said, "WHY??!!! are you crying?????!!" as if, you stupid teenager, why are you crying? That made matters worse. We left and will never return. She's an AWFUL human being.

Mean and nasty doctor. You will wait an hour or 2 to see her.She will only see you in 5 to 10 mins.Does not even look at you she is busy clicking and doing something in the computer. If you ask her about your present and past medical conditions she will insult you by saying I don’t know , I can not view it right now. No concern , no compassion ,no professionalism.I feel I was treated like a number ,rushing to get to her next paying client.

The rudest doctor I have ever met. She would not listen to what you tell her. She was unorganized with her patients and was treating me as a different patient, giving me all the patients info. I was having bad pains and all she said was to walk it off. Would not recommend.

I was treated by Dr Miramontes for over two years and found her bedside manner rather brusque & abrasive. She is a terrible listener when a patient explains their health concerns to her. Upon follow-up visits I have found she has had several facts logged incorrectly in her notes. Not good. I was also forced to pay a 20.00 co-pay when it should have been Zero & I have excellent health insurance benefits. Her waiting period time is general over one hour. I do not recommend this Dr.
