Dr. Barzey takes the time to listen to her patients. I appreciate her expertise in her field. I am sorry the Diagnostic Clinic is closing and I will find out where Dr. Barzey is practicing and follow her anywhere!

Avoid this Doctor!
Same as all the other 1 star reviews on here. She was rude and shamed me for coming in as a new patient to help monitor my thyroid tumors. Condescending and rude, left me feeling like an idiot for coming to the doctor. I never went back.

awful
My experience is the same as all the other 1 star reviews. No acknowledgement, does all the talking. Does not allow you to ask questions. It is almost like she does not want you to ask questions, especially since most patients are so much more informed. I remember sitting in the waiting room, the door was ajar and I heard her boast about herself how good she is. That says enough for me.She seems like the kind of doc that will allow symptoms to get really bad before she helps you. I don't feel like she takes me serious at all! Time to move on to another doc. believe it the first time when people treat you a certain way.

After 5 years, she FINALLY diagnosed me!
I originally started seeing Dr. Barzey in early 2021 after being extremely unwell since 2017 with zero diagnosis. I had seen well over 30 different doctors and expressed to several of them that I’d felt like part of my health issues was my thyroid and I’d been exhibiting all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. None of them listened. They’d run tests and tell me that I’m fine. Even the Chief of Endocrinology at USF, a Harvard grad, told me I was a medical anomaly, that he couldn’t do anything more to help me and sent me on my way.Dr. Barzey was the first doctor that made me like my complaints weren’t being views as complaining and actually listened to me. After one visit and some testing, BOOM. Diagnosed with primary hypothyroid disease. And ironically enough, I’ve since gone back and looked through all my labs from 2017 up until I was diagnosed, and my thyroid labs had been consistently tanked. T4, T3 and TSH were all “normal” but only barely.Thank you SO MUCH DR. BARZEY.

Won’t go back.
Telehealth
When Barzy walked into the room for my first appt. (in person) she didn’t acknowledge me. I had to say “hello” before she said anything. She was very arrogant and did not have a good bedside manner at all. I did not feel like she was listening to me. I’m a nurse and I am used to cocky providers, but this was one of the worst. I asked for my cortisol levels to be checked. I had the labs done and got the results and all of my hormones were tested EXCEPT cortisol. Scheduled a telehealth appt to review the results and after waiting on the online appt. for 40 minutes past my appt. time I hung up. My time is just as valuable as that of anyone else, including a provider, and scheduling my appt for 1:30 and not answering my 2:10 is rude and disrespectful. All of these issues combined let me know what I need to know about this provider and I won’t be back. Scheduled myself with another endocrinologist and got everything taken care of.

She is horrible.
From the very first meeting, I was treated like I was just a cash cow. At the first meeting, I told her what I needed testing for, and her reply was "well, what do you want me to do"? That should've been the first indication. This last time, she told me not to make an appointment until she had my labs back. I had 2 weeks for her to receive the results. I followed up with her and my other doctor. My other doctor said he sent them. I never got a response from her. So I show up today and she tries to chastise me for keeping an appointment when she didn't have the information. I told her I sent her an email and she never responded. She just kept blaming it on me for keeping the appointment, not because she didn't bother to follow up. She wasted my time. In tears, I left the office. She has just put my potential treatment back probably 2 months because I have to get a new endocrinologist. The worst bedside manner of any doctor I've had.

DO NOT see this doctor. This was the most terrible experience with a doctor that i’ve ever had. The most insensitive, rude, cold hearted individual with no bed side manor. I was disgusted with my experience.

Stay away from this doctor office. I went to see doctor Barzey first week of December 2020, first able office administrators are awful. They couldn’t figure out why I was there, they couldn’t find my appointment, I wait 40 minutes just to be registered in their system before seeing the doctor. Doctor Barzey was in a “hurry” because she said had a dentist appointment. Because she was in a hurry She couldn’t give me my blood work order, stating that was gonna do it later at home and someone from the office will give me a call... never happened! I have been calling the doctor office to ask about my work order for 4 days, all day long and NO ONE answer the phones in that doctor office. I don’t recommend this doctor or her office, you are going to waits your time and money!
