Do not see for menopause support
I had an appt with Dr Hondo about menopause treatment options. She uses dated scare tactics to keep women from accessing HRT. Very old school and dated with her approach, sadly.

Not believing in women's pain
Telehealth
Dr. Hondo has terrible beside manner and prioritizes a woman's ability to give birth over a woman's experience of immense pain. She is not experienced with dealing with the intersection of mental health, chronic pain, and reproductive issues. She also made uneducated remarks about women's reproductive health in LGBTQ relationships. While I do not expect her to be an expert in all of these issues, she lacks basic knowledge and self-awareness of her deficits in understanding. I felt very demoralized and disrespected after meeting with her. I hope that she learns to treat her future patients with more empathy and respect.

Despite suggesting certain analyses, she tends to overlook potential health issues unless explicitly prompted by the patient. This was evident in my case, where my proactive approach led to positive outcomes, indicating Dr. Hondo's initial oversight. Moreover, Dr. Hondo's communication regarding test results is notably lacking in detail. For instance, after undergoing a pelvic ultrasound due to concerns about my IUD, her response during our follow-up meeting was brief and lacked the comprehensive information I expected. In conclusion, Dr. Hondo's failure to prioritize patient education and provide thorough explanations of test results raises significant concerns about her reliability as a healthcare provider, particularly in women's health.

I was given a prescription without very much information on how to take it or what the side affects would be, and I felt like the doctor did not believe my symptoms because I hadn't written them down. The appointment felt rushed.

Dr. Hondo has no bedside manner at all. She wants to perform services that do not go through insurance (even if approved by insurance) so that she can pocket all of the funds. Do not recommend
