Dr. Juan Balaguer, MD

Booked an appointment for virtual and sitting in the "waiting room" for 15 minutes so called Lifestance to see what the problem was. They said our appointment was cancelled (even though the portal said we were next in line for our appointment). We said we never got a cancellation so they connected us to Stacy in his office. She was rude and said we should never had been able to make that appointment since that's his lunch hour. LOL! Took her 5 minutes to find the next appointment available which was over 2 more weeks away only to then say "nevermind, not available until July". Asked to speak to office manager but was told she just left for the day. Extremely poor set up and hassle. Hope the doctor sees this and makes changes. Waste of time and energy.

Dismissed nearly every adverse side effect I was having and said since it was uncommon for the medication to do that it was “just my anxiety”. Well come to find out in a genetic study that I gave him, I shouldn’t have ever been on that medication because my body doesn’t break it down correctly. He never called to tell me, I had to find out on my own. He is probably a nice person but I didn’t feel like he cared about me or my health.

Horrible customer service making or cancelling appt. Minimum hold times of 20 + minutes. $50 charge for cancelling same day. Painful time consuming practice dealing with.

Dr, Balaguer was very nice. I felt at ease and comfortable. I trust his judgment. Overall my experiences were pleasant. However the staff at OBH is another matter. I found them to be rude, discourteous and dismissive. They do not pay attention to the patients on the phone , nor do they take any actions on the patients behalf without many repeat calls. Do not see Dr. Balaguer at the Maitland office.

Incompetent does not follow up with impact his RX have on patients. I would not recommend anyone using this unprofessional person!
