I came in to the ER unable to retain solid food or liquids. A cat scan showed my stomach had moved through a hiatal hernia and was unable to digest anything. Dr Rudd and a gastroenterologist consulted and Dr Rudd did surgery to return me to successful eating and drinking. He was kind, competent, and conscientious.

I was referred to Dr. Rudd by my internal medicine doctor for a gall bladder review and surgery. I was not disappointed. IF you can say surgery was a pleasant experience, I was pleased. Starting with the checking in at the front desk at Dr. Rudd's office, everyone was so nice and pleasant. Dr. Rudd's assistants were most helpful, Kelly and the technician who did my labs (sorry I forgot name) were very professional and knowledgeable. The Haywood Hospital staff, admissions, pre-op staff, surgical staff, anesthesiologist, and recovery room and post-op staff were SO nice and VERY efficient. I have NO complaints about any of the entire process. I was followed up very closely during recuperation and I appreciate EVERYONE who made that possible. Having been a CNA in my 20's, in a hospital, I rate this entire experience an A+. Haywood County is blessed to have such good medical staff.

I am new to the area and ended up in the Haywood Regional Hospital's emergency room. I was assigned to Dr. Rudd’s service and was admitted as an inpatient. I work in health care and I know just enough to know that as sick as I was, things could go well or really wrong. I prayed for God to put my life into competent hands and he just that very thing. Dr. Rudd explained everything to me in a manner I could understand. I hope I never need a surgeon again but if I do I will definitely look for Dr. Rudd.

He is not knowledgeable in intestinal surgery. Experience was not a pleasant one. Had I stayed at haywood I honestly don’t think I would have made it. Got transferred to Mission and had emergency surgery shortly after arriving. I would never recccomend this “dr” to anyone.

My experience was emergency surgery, Dr. Rudd was very nice, explained everything, answered questions. I would recommend him to anyone.
