Current Patient
Dr Meeks took an incredibly scary situation to us and put it into perspective. He calmed down myself and my husband. His team was incredible through the bladder surgery with current technology and their expertise. We are still in recovery mode but we feel blessed that the Northwestern team led by Dr Joshua Meeks exceeded our expectations. Ignore the initial bumps in the road at the onset he is incredibly busy but the outcome speaks for itself.

Best Doctor
I have been under Dr Meeks’ care for three years for bladder cancer. Most recently I’ve been declared cancer free after immunotherapy treatments that were occasionally delayed because of Covid and scarcity of BCG. During that time Dr Meeks encouraged me to continue, kept me appraised of my progress and took the time to explain everything. He restored my faith in the medical profession

An extraordinary job
My cancer was particularly rare - only 3 -5 per year in the entire U.S. He worked with me to create an effective treatment plan (radical urostomy and prostectomy). He explained the procedure and executed it well. I had literally zero pain throughout the entire ordeal. He checked in on me during my hospital stay, and his subordinates were equally good. Because of the rarity of my cancer, there was no well-defined long-time treatment. Meeks consulted with his colleagues and they devised a follow-on chemotherapy regimen. I seem to have largely recovered, although the bladder cancer blocked a ureter and thus badly damaged a kidney. We have had ongoing discussions as to the best approach for ongoing treatment. I strongly endorse Dr. Meeks and would recommend him to anyone who needs his kind of expertise.

Dr. Meeks removed a cancerous tumor on my kidney and saved my kidney (I had donated my other kidney to my brother 35 years ago). My recovery has been going good and the surgery went well, with no lasting effects. No dialysis needed. Essentially Dr. Meeks has saved my present life and I owe the world to him. Several other surgeons did not want to try the operation as being too high risk, Dr., Meeks from day one said "he could do it". Great Surgeon, nice man. Great staff/hospital.
