Dr. Joshua Holland, MD

My husband and I moved in 2017 to the Carlsbad area in California. In the five years that we have been here, we have never had a doctor as knowledge, friendly and willing to accommodate us as Dr. Holland. We now belong to Scripps here in Carlsbad, and we never can get into a doctor without waiting months. When we do see a doctor, we are allowed 15 minutes max. As a result we travel all the way to Phx. Az to be seen by our favorite doctors. Dr. Holland is at the top of the list. In December, Dr. Holland met us at 7am. to accommodate our schedule. Without him and a few other doctors from Phx., I am not sure where our health would be. today. Sally and Jon Benton

i absolutely love Dr Holland and his staff. in this very difficult healthcare environment and despite all the problems in the healthcare industry, this office and this wonderful physician manages to keep calm, and smile and provide excellent patient centered medical care. they have all the tests and labs in house, weight loss, laser skin treatments and i can email and talk to a doctor 24/7, even on weekends !!!! R U KIDDING ME ?? this guy is a god send to me and my family & his staff is AWESOME!

I have been a patient of Dr. Holland for many years now. He listens to the patient and then decides a course of action. His "bed side manner" is great! He took care of me, my daughter and now my adult granddaughter. So yes I trust him!

Hard to get in touch with them by phone,did not feel like they cared about me as a person-- felt more like a nuisance. In 5 years I may have had 5 office visits. At best--a good call for a heart scan that indicated no disease. At worst, being recommended to take a multi vitamin for recurrent nose bleeds & not being called for results discussion after a brain MRI. I got the report 1.5 years later, not from them--slight ischemic disease & mild cortical atrophy greater than expected for age.

Dr Holland has been taking care of me and my family for over 25 years. We drive a little further to see Dr Holland because he is a medical genius! And if he isn't available his NP Janee Bell is an excellent substitute. With 25 years of history with these two I can't even begin to tell you the number of times they have diagnosed what others have missed with my kids and myself! Mono, hand foot and mouth disease, staph infections, anemia, and many, many more illnesses all diagnosed first time in!

I've been with Dr. Holland for some 20+ years now. I like him. He is very matter-of-fact but seems thorough and listens well. He answers all questions and provides a conscientious level of care and follow-up. As for his office staff - they are really why I keep going back. An office full of angels! Gruff at times, but always helpful and willing. They compliment Dr. Holland and together complete the team.
