Dr. McMichael is a physician who I NEVER want to emulate. As a current medical student myself, I was disappointed in the level of care provided by Dr. McMichael. I saw her as a new patient and Dr. McMichale never addressed me by name, did not take a patient history on me, and was in the room with me for less than 10 minutes. I told Dr. McMichael many times that I suffered from IBS and UC. Thankfully, because I am a current medical student, I know that most oral antibiotics are contraindicated in a person who suffers from both IBS and UC; however, Dr. McMichael continuously discussed antibiotics, for which I had to remind her 3 times that I had IBS & UC, and therefore, could not be on antibiotics. Dr. McMichael then proceeded to prescribe me a topical ointment to treat my folliculitis, which I had previously told her did not work before- she prescribed it anyway. Most disappointedly, she said she did not have time to check my moles, which I expressed deep concern for.
