Took my daughter for what I thought was a serious incident and was scared as to what happened. As soon as this doctor came in he immediately refused to believe my story about what I found in my daughter’s stool and said to put duct tape on her anus and see if something happens. He didn’t believe what I said and what I saw, and what my daughter also saw. Don’t recommend due to not being great as a service provider. I think as a doctor you should also be decent at delivering your professional opinion.

Unsympathetic and does not listen to the patient
I took my son into the practice, he's 3, the doctor did a brief look at his throat and ears and told me it's just a cold and he wouldn't prescribe anything for me. This doctor is cold and did not listen to the patient nor the parent. With my sons pediatrician he listened to how constricted his airways are and listened to the parent and I informed him of how my son gets at night and prescribed medication accordingly but this doctor did not.

On my own
Dr Vandergriff had been my PCP for 9 years. I tested positive for Covid and called his office at once to find out what I should do next. I was told by a staff member that he does not prescribe meds for Covid and I was basically in my own. What physician says that to a long time patient? I have lost my confidence in him for my health care.

I don’t usually write reviews but this one is really something. Saw him twice and basically got the response you will be fine in a week or two whether or not we treat you so go home. I did not feel as he listened to me at all and did not think he really was trying to help. It almost felt as his main goal is to prove himself right even when it makes no sense. He barely even looked at me both times I happened to see him and just told me it is something viral and it will go away. Sorry but this is the way I feel. He might be trying to do the right thing but it ends up not being the right thing for me or my family, I end up having to go to another doctor and get the help I need. And he has attitude.

Very personable. Explains treatment in detail. One thing I really like about my appointments with him. You not only see Dr Vandergriff but a nurse and a resident in training. You see each of them individually. The nurse and the resident ask questions, take notes and they confer with Dr Vandergriff so get 3 for the price of one to come up with a diagnosis and treatment.)

I have no respect for this doctor at all. I was planning to see him for my primary care doctor. I had made an appointment in mid March but due to my fear of the corona virus I cancelled the appointment . Apparently according to the doctor (I use that term lightly) I was not allowed nor was I suppose to cancel that appointment because there was no virus then (according to him). I went in to see him due to an illness 5/18/20 but he was only concerned about my cancellation. I have never been treated like this in my entire life and I am 80 years old. I would never recommend him to anyone ever.

This guy is a complete jerk. He clearly thinks he is God's gift to the earth because he is a doctor. In reality he is clearly a just miniture man with a massive ego. You are probably better off staying at home sick than going to this jerk looking for medical help.

What a jerk! I went in with head to toe hives from an exposure to poison ivy smoke and this guy insults me by making me take a drug test before prescribing me Benadryl! I was hospitalized 3 days later and was in ICU for almost a week. This guy is what is wrong with medicine. No compassion and a totally self-righteous pretense of a "Doctor".

Needed to see a Doctor on Sunday and was fortunate to find Dr. Vandergriff. He dealt with my problem professionally and courteously. Also, discussed my best options for a quick recovery. I plan for him to be my new GP. He is far better than the others I have seen. I have lots of confidence in this guy.

Dr. Vandergriff is a listener, he is cautious about over prescribing, which I like. He is respectful, thoughtful and I respect his opinion. I couldn't ask for more. I have complex chronic illnesses and I appreciate his patience and persistence. I relocated from another area and was very concerned about finding a physician, I am grateful for Dr. Vandergriff

Probably the most professional and helpful MD I have come across. I came back to SC and immediately looked him up. I can not be more pleased with him and his staff. He treats all my illnesses with respect and compassion. When I read two negative reviews, I have to wonder what attitude they walked in with..because it is just is not him..Hoping he stays in MB for a long long time...

Dismissive and disrespectful. Doesn't let you fully explain your problems and makes judgements based on how you look rather than the medical evidence. Don't expect any sympathy when you have depression from pain and a loved one who just had a heart attack. I have never had a Physician talk to me in such a disrespectful manner as him. I would never recommend him to anyone! Wait time was 1-1/2 hrs. Fortunately there are other Physicians with good bedside manners.

I was in from out of town visiting my sick father, and realized I had to stay longer. I ran out of medication and went to Urgent Care. Not only did they not tell me all I had to do was call my doctor to call into the CVS, they had me wait 2 hours before telling me the doc who prescribes controlled substances would be in the next day. I don't have enough room here, but the outcome is, they were paid $90 to lecture me and left me without necessary meds. I filed a complaint with the AMA.

Dr. Vandergriff told me my problem was viral and antibiotics would do me no good. This was before doing a complete exam. He told me that he was sick, so he was avoiding contact. He lectured me & informed me that he had taken antibiotics only once in his life. I was not there to receive antibiotics and only wanted treatment for what was wrong. I had to go to a different doctor the next day. Through the wall, I heard him calling another patient an addict for asking for sleep med. DO NOT RECOMMEND
