I let a bad hip go to long. Dr Thometz replaced my hip and with the help of the Chicago Med therapy staff, I'm now pain free and regaining complete functionality.

Replacement of my right hip. No pain after. One night stay. Went home with just a cane. Great recovery 8 days out. Dr Thometz and entire staff at Ingalls hospital were fantastic!!! Thank you all ??

Saw Dr Thometz after a visit to urgent care for extreme knee pain and swelling. First visit was great, he drained a large amount of fluid from my knee and gave me a steroid injection which lasted only a couple of days. Two weeks later when my knee started swelling again I called his office and an MRI was ordered. Dr Thometz told me that while there was an injury it was mostly arthritis and nothing could be done, just physical therapy, which was very frustrating as it wouldn't fix the problem. Still in pain and unable to climb stairs, I went back to my family doctor who looked at the same MRI and referred me to a different orthopedic doctor who is helping me. Dr Thometz is nice enough but I need someone who will fix the problem.
