30 years ago he saved my life
Stage IV malignant melanoma with infiltration into the lymph nodes- a 'routine' surgery tripled in hours, and a free face lift with staples. Dr. Sarpa cared for me during some of the most turbulent times and provided facts, not feelings, which made treatment options clear.Without him and his perseverance and attention to detail the already tiny odds I had of making it past 18 would have been infinitesimally smaller.Thank you for my Life. I hope I've been worthy of it.

Amazing Dr. and amazing staff!!!!
My husband had suffered with blocked nasal passages for years. Dr. Sarpa fixed him right up and he called my husband later that day to check on him after surgery. He’s an amazing Dr. and has nurses that go above and beyond for their patients. They made sure my husband was comfortable, they explained everything we needed to do after surgery and were very caring. I appreciate Dr. Sarpa and his staff very much and will recommend him to all our family and friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I can’t thank you enough!!!

Would not recommend
My son was hit in the face with a baseball a couple years ago. Needed surgery, but was told by office we had to wait 2 weeks for swelling to go down before eval. Day of eval, was told by Dr. Sarpa that since it had been 2 weeks, the bones had already started to fuse back together. Duh. I was concerned, as I didn't want him to have a severely crooked nose for the rest of his life, but the doc said, 'it wont be perfect, and I'm sure he'll break it again anyways.' Great. Then on the day of his post op appointment, the doc called beforehand to see how he was doing over the phone, and told me we didn't need to come in for post op. *Sidenote, I had requested Dr. Johnson initially, but was told he was out of the office that week. Cut to day of surgery, and Dr. Johnson was with a patient in pre op. Take away: advocate for yourself. Do your research on your surgeon, and don't settle.

Dismissive, Condescending, and doesn’t listen
What an unpleasant experience! I was rushed out of the office in under two minutes. I was still asking questions and he literally opened the door and pointed me to the exit. He talked over my concerns and acted like his suggestion was just the only thing to do and that there was no real cause for concern in leaving an infant on antibiotics for months. He was so condescending and doesn’t put you at ease at all. I do not recommend, to the point that I would rather drive hours to go see someone else!

Dismissive and doesn’t listen
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, because you never know if you caught someone on a bad day. However, I had a terrible interaction with Dr. Sarpa. My 19 month old daughter was being seen for adenoid issues. He came in and sat back in his chair and immediately said, “so why are you here? Because she snores? That’s normal.” I was taken aback by that comment. I explained yes, she snores, but I listed multiple other symptoms, related to adenoid issues. He said, “I mean I’m not taking a kids tonsils out this age just because of snoring.” Again, I was taken aback. I didn’t think she had an issue with tonsils and never expressed concern with that. He also said, “she seems to be breathing fine right now. Perfectly, actually.” And I tried to explain it was a good day, but he cut me off. He agreed she had adenoiditis, and to give her nasal spray. Then he said goodbye and left. In total, he was in the office for about 4 minutes. I have never felt so unheard or small. I would not recommend.

I had been chronically sick with a sinus infection and various other related complications from July until October. After no improvement in my symptoms for 2 months, I finally got recommend to see an ENT in September—that ENT was Dr. Sarpa. Dr. Sarpa was helpful my first visit—he did techniques that led my ears to pop about an hour after my appointment after I had tried everything. He also ordered that I get an x-ray as from what he could see, I had a bone fragment in my nose sticking out causing the chronic infection. I came back for the x-ray but they actually scheduled me for a CT scan—a much more expensive imaging technique which is unnecessary if you’re examining bone. Dr. Sarpa called me the next day to give me the results—he said I had an infected sinus (you think I didn’t know that?) and mentioned nothing about a bone. He also said that it was “my 3rd visit with him. Do you want the surgery or not? There isn’t anything else I can do.” I only had 1 visit with him. He was very rude, dismissive, and and interrupted me on the phone, and it didn’t seem like he was even talking to the right patient. Confused, I decided not to pursue anything with Dr. Sarpa—even though my sinus symptoms persisted—until I got very sick again around Halloween. Dr. Sarpa’s office couldn’t get me in until after Thanksgiving. Frustrated with being sick for 4 months straight, I asked to schedule the surgery. His nurse said I needed to make an appointment for that. I did & that appointment ended with Dr. Sarpa saying I did not need it and all he would do is drain my sinuses which were no longer clogged when I went back to him at the end of November. He was dismissive, he interrupted me multiple times, and was rude. His office was not timely and his nurse could never answer my questions, nor did they relay them to Dr. Sarpa. I would not trust Dr. Sarpa with your health. Bet even Dr. Sarpa’s mom doesn’t even rely on him for health concerns.

Completely satisfied
My son had nose surgery for a deviated septum and I had my tonsils removed. He had me scheduled within a week. The only issues were due to my age. It's harder on us older folks lol. Dr. Sarpa was awesome!!! I've never had any issues with his staff or scheduling. He calls to check on his patients after procedures. He answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. We haven't had any post-op issues.

So far first visit was great then had problems with rude surgery schedule r, then put in a call to nurse who never got back to me and when I recalled the nurse didn't touch base about appt then passed me off to Dr who was very stern and felt I was blew off, now looking at surgery date way out and waiting to see which takes me first, possible cancer or surgery.

I am really disappointed in Dr. Sarpa's office - In the 1 time I actually met with the man himself, he was great (I also had a surgery with him, but don't recall interacting with him). 3 weeks post sinus surgery I have caught some sort of infection; I have called the office 3 business days in a row, and gotten no assistance. On the 3rd call today I was told he is in surgery, and will get my message tomorrow. Post-surgery care is disappointing to say the least.

Dr Sarpa and his staff were super friendly. He is very straight to the point, which I like. He and his nurse made sure we knew exactly what they were explaining. Dr Sarpa went as far as drawing diagrams and explained in detail the process of the procedure and processes of complications and explained some what ifs. I like his style and how forward he is. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

He is very brief, I hold him my symptoms and he blew me off as if I was making a big deal about a sore throat. He literally only spent 2 minutes from the time he walked in the room to the time he left. Now I'm dealing with a growing visible lump in my neck that I am terrified is cancerous.
