I consulted this surgeon as I have had a really bad experience with a hernia mesh. He did not listen to a single thing I had to say, but talked over me about body mass index, how overweight I was, and told me nobody wanted to operate on me. Well no one wants to pay what he charged but that was not the reason for my visit. A total boor and completely lacking in bedside manner. With his attitude he wouldn't make a good janitor, the grumpy butt

May I encourage Dr. Ranzini to read the Good Morning America report (8/4/17) on doctor "fat shaming" of patients. No more than two minutes into our initial consultation he told me that I was overweight (like I didn't know) when I was very anxious about possible surgery at the time. His post operative instructions after my surgery were also woefully inadequate as I went an entire weekend in misery due to post operative constipation.
