Dr. Joseph Novof, DO

My husband came in by EMS after having his first seizure and was clearly unable to provide a history. My first encounter with Dr.Novof was asking why my husband was there. I responded by telling him he had a seizure. There were no follow up history questions, no past medical history questions, no drug allergy questions, nothing. He then proceeds to tell me (keep in mind I work in healthcare) that they usually admit for this and asks if this is what I want. He had no results back from any of the tests yet. I asked to wait until the testing comes back. As soon as the results came back Novof comes in the room throws discharge papers at us and leaves the room. When asked if trauma to the head can cause seizures he responded no, they are two different mechanisms. If he would’ve taken time to get his history he would have known he fell and has a hx of prior concussions. Needless to say before we left my husband had his 2nd concussion within 4hrs and we are transferring out of this place!!!!

Dr. Novof is a very efficient doctor who took the time to address all of my questions and concerns. He appears to be very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Arrogant and uncompassionate

While awaiting discharge, my friend looked up Dr. Novof’s reviews. We were shocked. The experience I had with the physician was polar opposite. He was the epitome of professionalism. Dr. Novof, took his time to explain the minor procedure he performed, while demonstrating patience with the staff who assisted him. He was NOTHING but professional. I was compelled to leave a review as I believe the current reviews do not reflect the quality of physician he truly is and I would highly recommend.

My father who is 84 fell and hurt his shoulder. Dr Novof was the doctor. The diagnosis turned out to be a broken shoulder. At discharge he handed my father 2 prescriptions and a piece of paper and walked out. Never explained anything, no follow up. Why is he practicing? Never will I recommend!

No bed side manner , rude unfriendly

If Novoff is working, find a different hospital to go to. Such an uncaring physician. His attitude stinks. Thought this dr was out of the system. Unfortunately, NOT.
