Dr. Joseph Newton, DO

Dr. Newton is one of the best doctors I've ever known. He takes the time to explain or find images to help patients understand what is going on. Medication isn't his first step, but if needed he explains the pros and cons of it. If necessary, he will make sure you get whatever imaging or labs that are needed and he usually has a backup plan of treatment if one doesn't work. He listens and cares about the patient. He also has a very good nurse named Gwen, she is always friendly and seems to understand and relay what you are saying or wanting. I've never known a nurse that is so prompt at getting pre approval for procedures or appointments set up for referral, labs and procedures.I have always felt important to anyone in the office when I visit!

After years of suffering muscular pain in my back, I was referred to Dr Newton. He found the culprit from X-rays prior to my first visit and has treated my issues monthly for several years now. To the point that I can cancel some months because he has corrected the pain. I have had a couple of my grandchildren with me a few times. He has always explained to them what he was doing, why, and showed them images on the little ultrasound he used. They received an education as well! Dr Newton, along with his nurses Gwen and Theresa are 3 of the nicest people. Usually you’re nervous going to the doctor. Dr Newton is so soft spoken, very kind and gets to know you on a personal level as well as professionally. I feel as if I’ve known him personally for years as well. I highly recommend him for muscular skeletal issues
