Dr. Joseph Minniti, MD

VERY DISHONEST. On 2/24 I made a consultation appointment with Dr. Minniti for 3/6. I was extremely clear when I first booked my appointment that I have an unpredictable schedule subject to change daily. Because of this I specifically asked about the cancellation policy and was told 48 hours in advance of the appointment. They informed me that the consultation fee was $250, and asked for a credit card to hold the appointment. They immediately charged my card, including additional credit card fees. I thought it was just a hold, as doctors don’t usually charge before service. On 2/25 - 24 hours later - I emailed the office to cancel the appointment, which was 2 weeks away. On 3/3 I noticed that my fee had not been returned. I called to find out why and they said the fee is non-refundable, and refused to give me my money back. Even though the appointment was canceled 2 weeks prior to the date, and I will not be seeing the doctor. This office is dishonest and unethical. Total scam. BEWARE!
