Improving communication and courtesy
I do recommend and love Doctor Mazza, but some of the staff, not all but a few ,need improvements. They don't know the word courtesy. Communication among offices is pretty bad. They have 3 different locations and all the phone numbers listed take you to the Lincoln location. You ask for information, and insist on not giving the information the doctor told me regardless of the Doctors referral and the location I was to go. The first young woman I spoke to, instead of directing me to someone else who might know, she instead was shouting and got very rude. You would think the information was in the computer at all locations, apparently not. I called again and I spoke to another, she also seemed confused and a bit annoyed. When I told her it was under the doctor's direction she finally referred me to a number to call. I don't know why all this runs around , plus a waste of their time and as well as mine . After said and done whoever, sent the referral it was sent the wrong place.

Dismissive and rude
Dismissive and unhelpful. Extremely difficult to get in contact with. Office staff is also rude and wait times are always 40 minutes or more. Terrible experience with this entire office.

Dr. Mazza is an amazing cardiologist! He's professional sincere, and a considerate man. However, his secretary Alexis is rude and unprofessional. When I called recently to schedule an appt. she answered the phone with a mouth full of food after putting me on hold without a chance to respond. I then proceeded to ask her to schedule an appt. because I have a concern that I want addressed. She tries to brush me off to the ER because she doesn't have a next week appt. available. I stated I didn't wish to go to the hospital. I just want to make an appt. then she became annoyed because SHE HAD TO DO HER JOB! Places me on hold again I'm assuming to complain to someone around her then gets back on and gives me the next available with an attitude. AWEFUL REPRESENATIVE for such a wonderful doctor!

My Husband suffered a heart issue at the airport. He was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital. All was well, but he needed a Cardiologist. Dr. Joseph Mazza was referred to him. Dr. Mazza made himself available immediately. He monitored my Husband for a few days, as he deemed appropriate. My Husband was most impressed not only with his extraordinary knowledge, his explanation of the situation, and ongoing care plan, that he will continue with confidence Dr. Mazza's advice and service
