Dr. Joseph Maselli, MD

While modern medicine and a healthy cushion for most of us in the middle class make it seem like a smooth bedside manner and promptness are the most important things about choosing an Ob/Gyn...'cause, gee...what could go wrong? I assure you. Things go wrong. And when that happens, you want your doctor to have good instincts, superior skills, and confidence. This describes Dr. Maselli. I (Calamity Jane) presented him several challenging situations, (poor guy!) and each time he quickly identified the problem and solved it. While he is a highly trained man of science, he also draws upon gut wisdom and years of experience. I owe my life, and the lives of all my children to this superb doctor. I would never go anywhere else. My daughters are all married now, and he is the only doctor I feel comfortable with for them.

I saw Dr. Maselli and felt that his comments were pretty inappropriate. It is apparent that this is how he operates. I will never be seeing him again.

First time seeing him, for a routine exam, didn't ask any questions about any problems I've been having. didn't say anything about my fibroids during exam. Previous doctor could feel my fibroids. Maselli said I was perfectly fine. if I hadn't said anything about my concerns, I wouldn't have had any further tests done. He was rushed. not a good listener. not a caring person.

Dr Maselli has been my Dr for over 31 years. He's professional, knowledgeable and compassionate.

I saw Dr Maselli in an emergency. Aside from him starting the exam before I was even on the table, he was rude and indolent. I would never choose him for my OBGYN as he is about as gentle as a Mack truck. Steer clear of this disaster.

I do not recommend Dr. Maselli to any human. I left the office feeling violated and abused. He began his examination. While I am exposed, his assistant walks in without knocking. He tells me to "calm down" and says she must stay in the room. Then while I am in stirrups, the receptionist barges in. I immediately start crying and say "what is going on". He tells me "you really need to calm down. ok one finger in the vagina". I have never felt more violated and embarrassed in my life.

I have been using Dr. Maselli's office for years. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is courteous and knowledgeable. They are more than willing to give information and speak with you as needed. The clerical staff is phenomenal.

I saw Dr. Masselli to confirm a pregnancy while I searched for an OB since I was new to the area. Upon doing an exam he told me I was going to miscarry, I asked for blood work. He gave me one day of blood work, confirmed a pregnancy and stated again that I will miscarry. I called to get another day of blood work to see if my levels were rising. His office wouldn't give it to me and I was told to wait for a call from the doctor. It's 6 months later, I'm still pregnant and have yet get a call back

I have gone to Dr. Maselli a few times because of the convenience of his office and his availability. I would not recommend him to any patient seeking a Dr. who will take their time with you and listen to what you have to say as well as gentleness during the exam. In my experience he does not take the time to listen to you and is extremely rude. My appointment took a total of six minutes I was essentially rushed out of the office. The experience left me disgusted and upset.

I have been going to Dr. Maselli, for my OB/GYN needs, for approximately 25 years. He is a good doctor, and I prefer the personal relationship (where my doctor recognizes and cares about me as a person) that this small office offers. I would highly recommend him; although he will probably retire within the next few years.
