Needless Wait
After waiting 45 minutes without seeing the doctor I left. Clearly, the office considers their time more important than mine. If there’s a problem (over scheduling, medical issue), be considerate and tell me. Stuff happens. Just tell me. As I was leaving, the nurse told me I was next. What does that mean? Five minutes, 30 minutes? Obviously, no one knows.

Longtime But Disappointed patient. – Oct 27, 2022

I started coming to Lombardo about 2 years ago now for simple checkups. He was a red flag the very first visit, however he resembled my deceased father in many ways, so I kept coming back(my fault). Just recently I've had some health concerns that I felt should be taken very seriously, considering auto immune diseases & cancer run in my family from very young ages. He did not ask about my family history(which I think is very important), so I thought I'd mention it. He tells me "there's all sorts of things that run in families and we all die of something some day." He was very unconcerned, disregarded physical changes happening throughout my body, and tells me ill be fine. So, I log onto my portal to view his Dr. note. He starts off, "This is a 21 year old complaining about multiple issues" I had never felt so embarrassed, so unheard. The note sounded like complete annoyance, I was a waste of time. The following morning I immediately changed my provider.

I used to see Dr. Lombardo when he practiced from the Pioneer Medical group office on Clark in Long Beach. I was NOT impressed. He was not interested in my concerns. He did seem to be more in favor of the quick fix, which was easier for him and less of a pain in the butt. He blew off my concerns, saying we only had 15 minutes and would deal with each issue ONE AT A TIME, which meant that I would have to come back and speak with him several times, one time per issue. NOT A GOOD DOCTOR. I was recently diagnosed with Leukemia by my new doctor at a different medical group, as I found it necessary to change groups all together. Looking at my lab work from 2018, I see that the numbers in my blood work and for my thyroid were already elevated but he didn't address this AT ALL!! I venture to say "Doctor" Lombardo is at best careless and at worse a QUACK!! I neither liked nor trusted him. ZERO stars if I could!!

I’ve had very poor experiences in my few times visiting this doctor. I went in clearly explaining my concerns, but he didn’t seem to listen and instead kept recommending antidepressants and sleeping pills. I’m not against these things, but I feel he didn’t listen to my actual complains, just gave me a quick fix. I was actually in the office to review abnormal blood work, which I told the nurse, so it was strange to me that he kept pushing these medications that I didn’t ask for. When I tried to get back on topic of the abnormal blood work, he told me “other doctors wouldn’t be very impressed by these numbers” which I think is a very strange thing for a doctor to say to a patient who came in with valid concerns. Overall very unprofessional and unpleasant interactions.

Great doctor, but good luck trying to make an appointment. I've been calling 562-597-4181 all morning long, only to be placed on hold! No one answers the phone!

Dr. Lombardo has wonderful bedside manner. I feel that I am in good hands when I see him and I often feel better even after just talking to him. I feel very lucky to have found such a knowledge, caring, kind doctor to be my PCP.
