Poor Surgeon and Billing
My daughter is a first responder who can no longer wear her facial PPE without pain thanks to Dr. Leach. He did her nasal repair in February of 2024 and her breathing is still occluded on one side. Now that side runs constantly. He left a bone sliver in her face, which he removed in office without adequate anesthesia and did damage to the nerves under one eye. After she complained he told her it would take time to heal and she wasn't allowed to see him again until February 2025. As of November 2024, her nose is painful, discolored, crooked and badly stitched. Her septum bulges so badly that it hangs below her nose. The pain in her nose and upper cheekbone make wearing her respirator and face shield extremely painful. She ascertained her final bill amount with UTSW and set up a payment plan. She'll be paying off her $12,000 copay amount for years and he tried to add another $2,800 to it this week after waiting for 8 months to bill insurance she no longer has.

My daughter broke her nose when she was 10 years old, and as a result of the break, she had a lot of complications with breathing and losing smell, as well as constantly getting sinus infections. She recently had another injury to her nose, which brought us to Dr. Leach. He identified all the problems she was having, listened to all her concerns as well as requests. He explained the procedure fully and completely gained our trust and confidence in him. Today my daughter got her cast off, 6 days post a Septorhinoplasty. We are more than thrilled with the results. Not only does her nose look better cosmetically, but she can also breathe better than before the surgery! She is regaining much of her smell that she lost at the age of 10. Dr. Leach exceeded our expectations and then some! I highly recommend his services! He is an amazing plastic surgeon and his team was nothing but sweet and professional. This was the best decision we have made! My daughter is beyond happy with the results!

Dr Leach repaired a deviated nasal septum with a perforation in it. He explained the entire procedure with drawings and in writing and then did the same with the recovery expectations and instructions. He’s incredibly thorough, just like you’d expect someone of his intelligence to be. The surprise is his compassion. He has empathy for what his patients are suffering through and that’s the quality I find the post valued. His demeanor and compassion trickle down through his staff. They are all great and everyone makes a wonderful team. If there is a wait, you are informed of why and kept comfortable. If you call or send a portal message, it is promptly replied. Just a top notch office.

I found Dr. Leach to be very caring and interested in me as a patient. He helped me understand the procedure he would use to repair my broken nose. He also gave me the risks involved and what I could expect after surgery. He took his time with me and was very attentive to my concerns.
