Dr. Joseph Lanese, MD

He spent 45 minutes with me on our first visit being very through to learn about my medical history.

Dr. Lanese doesn't rush his patients through just so he can see more each day. He takes whatever time is needed to be thorough and answer questions. I've been his patient since 2015 and have no complaints.

Dr Lanese is a caring and knowledgeable physician. He gives you all the time you need and is not in a rush . He answers all the questions asked and thoroughly explained what he was prescribing and his course of action.

the front desk is a complete fail. failed to notify me when i had a scheduled appt and the dr. called in sick. i took off work only to be told the dr was a no show. no call or email or text. what decade are they living in? long wait times in the waiting rooms. lack of communication. often wondering why they don't answer the phone. switched doctors and this practice failed to respond to request for medical records. unbelievable. left on hold for over 5 mins many times. many other options out there. this place added to my stress levels when a good practice relieves you from your stress. I would consider this the last choice in getting medical services

I could not even begin to say how wonderful he and staff are. He has always been there for us regardless of issues and guidance along way. I often say he could write a book about us. He knows and takes times to treat you as a person and often times -a much needed friend, I was having some issues awhile back and we don't live close by. We got in the car without any appointment and went directly to his office, where he saw me immediately and helped me. He does not hurry you and you are simply not a number to him. I cannot imagine any other Doctor but Dr. Joe. His staff is amazing and kind and always on top of every phone call and take care of your needs if not immediately, do so in a timely manner. I always feel very secure with him and his diagnosis. I have had some scares in our time together but always felt I was in the right place with the right person. Every visit he takes time and always always makes me smile. We feel very blessed he is our Dr. and our friend.

Outstanding physician. Very easy to discuss medical issues with and never appears to be in a rush to go the next patient . With a specialty in Internal Medicine he is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating many types of health issues accurately. Have recommended Dr. Lanese to many friends without any reservation.

Dr Lanese is a very caring and genuine man, who truly cares. I have been a patient of his for 3 years. Yes it is sometimes a long wait but worth it once you get to speak with him. Staff has always been nice and respectful with me.

IF I COULD RATE LESS THAN 1 STAR---I WOULD! After hours long wait in an overbooked waiting room with several patients STANDING due to all seats taken, a woman next to me remarked heatedly that she had been waiting for almost 2 hours to see Dr. Lanese. She had been there longer than I...so I approached the window only to be told it would be much longer wait.....to which I stated this office had "only one chance" to quickly rebook my appointment -----DUE TO LANESE BEING ASSIGNED AS MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN through Care Plus insurance. Since I have tests needing diagnosed....and several referrals needed set up, I called back; only to be told rudely by office girl to seek a different doctor... she would not book any appointments with Dr Lanese! Wow! The inmates running the asylum! After lodging formal complaints with insurance and Medicare....I found a different PCP.....a doctor that actually follows through on "Hypocritical Oath" be actually caring about his "assigned" patients.

Dr. Lanese is very caring, however, waiting over an hour for every visit and today, after 45 minutes of waiting, being told the "machine was down" so the appt. is cancelled was ridiculous! I had called yesterday to confirm the appt., but when I called and questioned what happened, some extremely RUDE girl tried to tell me it was MY fault for not asking for someone other than the front desk to confirm the appt. WHAT? Then she continued to over-talk me, not answering or listening to anything I was trying to say and then hung up on me! My Mother has been going to this Doctor for over 20 + years but this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. There is no need for such uncaring rudeness from the front office staff. Based on the reviews, this is on ongoing issue that is running patients off and should be addressed.

I went to Dr Lanese for over 20 years but after getting colon cancer when I wanted to have a phone conversation with him he would not return my call. His staff told me that he would only see me in the office. It’s a real shame as either his staff never told him that I wanted to speak with him or he no longer cares about the feelings of his patients. I used to enjoy seeing him but no more.

Love this man! The long wait to see him is well worth it. Extremely down to earth and explains everything in layman's terms.

After visiting twice, never got a chance to ever speak with the Dr. he was always unavailable. Staff was horribly rude and ineffective. The PA was offensive and seems like he lied during my two visits.

Dr Lanese is very caring, compassionate, and understanding. He takes the time to listen and address your concerns. I was nervous about changing Drs when I moved to Tampa, but could not have made a better choice.

Dr. Lanese has been my family's doctor for more than 20 years. He is kind and compassionate and takes time know his patients. I highly recommend him. Sincerely Dave Crandon
