Dr. Joseph Killeen, MD

I have contemplated on multiple occasions posting a review or not on Dr.Killeen and I have decided it is much needed for new moms who may be going to see Killeen. I registered with Killeen the moment I found out about my pregnancy as I am high risk and diabetic. All of our first few appointments were great but at about 15 weeks he started telling me I should expect a c section due to my health issues. For the record I am a well controlled diabetic, non diabetic blood sugars, and in good health as well as baby. I was always open to the idea of a c section IF NEEDED but wanted to go the natural way if possible. Fast forward to a few appointments and 26 weeks pregnant I go in for a check. Dr. Killeen AGAIN mentions a c section and that if I do not agree to one my baby could be severly injured going into how she could get stuck and die in the birth canal EVEN THOUGH she was NEVER measured as a big baby EVER. Dr Killeen is a caring and dedicated physician. He cares and listens to his patients.

Delivery of my son went really well, but Dr. Killeen forgot we scheduled a tubal right after delivery. He asked if we could do it at a later date, and we agreed. Several attempts at scheduling the tubal failed. We called multiple times, but the office staff was extremely rude and told us they would call us back with a date. They never called back. Several more calls and they would tell us Dr. Killeen is out for the week. More calls resulted in the same thing. Absolutely terrible office.

He was my doctor 5 years ago; I had a C Section. 3 weeks after, I was hemorrhaging and had to be readmitted into the hospital due to product of conception being left inside my uterus causing it to be unable to clamp down. He would not answer his phone. I had to have a D&C to remove all the tissue. He guaranteed me the next day day that he'd done nothing wrong, it was my uterus. I learned recently the pathology report said there were placental fragments left inside. He literally nearly killed me.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. KILLEEN. HIS STAFF IS SO EFFICIENT AND HIS NURSE RENAY IS THE BEST YOU COULD ASK FOR. ANYONE THAT SAYS DIFFERENTLY HAS LOST THEIR MINDS. I WOULDN'T GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR IF YOU PAID ME AND I ALWAYS REFER MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO HIM.

I felt like a number and a paycheck. He is always too busy to answer my questions or hear my concerns. One appointment I said do not tell me what I am having. He then showed me instead because he just needed to know for himself, then said quote. good thing you told me not to tell you or I would have. Well guess what doc you showed me there is no difference.

He is great and the staff is amazing! You feel like family by the time you’re giving birth.

Dr. Killeen and his staff are wonderful! Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Dr. Killen used to practice in San Diego, California. He delivered my two children by C-Section as I had toxemia. During both pregnancies he was very professional, attentive and had a positive attitude. I wish he was here for my future grandchildren. You are very blessed to have him as your doctor.

He delivered both my boys via c section and I can't imagine anyone else delivering them. He is extremely thorough and calms all fears you may have.
