I've known this doctor since 2008. He wanted to make a change in my medicine and when I pushed back and voiced my concerns that didn't go over very well. I was advocating for myself strongly and I told him I would follow his instructions but I was hesitant. And wanting to explain my hesitancy he said I'm the doctor and I won't change my mind. He went on to say if I wanted more of the medication, I would have to get it from another doctor, as if I would be pill seeking for a blood pressure medication? Frankly, it was all quite bizarre coming from a doctor that I've known for such a long time. When I left the appointment I sent him a MyChart message, but I've not read any responses. I really didn't want to ruin my day any further. Maybe he was just having a bad day and I wasn't helping. But too bad.
