The BEST there is! Role Model for the Profession
Dr. Garand is the best doctor there is! He listens to your concerns and is willing to go above and beyond to find solutions to your problems (and not just band aids). I had an issue that wasn't going away. After seeing 3 other doctors, including specialists...all who ran various tests to rule things out but were unable to diagnose or treat the underlying cause...I came to Dr. Garand. He took the time to research other possible causes and found an unusual issue that may be causing my problem. I am now issue free and feeling great! All doctors should be like him...caring, concerned, dedicated, thorough and willing to do what it takes to find hard-to-find solutions (and not the path of least resistance). LOVE him!

Will look elsewhere
Dr was nice enough on first visit but didn't seem to really listen. Dismissed the concerns I had and seemed to just want to get me back for "full Medicare physical" in a month or so. MA noted vital signs in system on paperwork I was given but only did blood pressure and weight. How can you just guess at resp, pulse ox, temp?? Ridiculous to just type in normal values! Office waiting area smells of mold, office/exam rooms are dingy and in desperate need of an update...AND a good cleaning. Lady at front window was nice but the 2 in the back on checkout we're rude and seemed annoyed. I've tried to get in for sick visits only to be sent to MAs voicemail and to leave message. Never get calls back and when I call to ask what's going on, I'm told "they will call you". No call...for DAYS! Office staff is inefficient and uncaring as to needs. It's always just send the call to MA line without warning that you are even being transferred. Annoying and rude. I'm sure there are better options!

Negative and frustrating. Refused to look at past lab results from other providers. Said his office didn't have access to labcorps. Ignored serious condition, infected legs. ER had to make the referral. Told me to heal myself. Laughed at my psoriasis. Insists my disability is temporary and refuses 4yr placard form. He had passed this disrespect of me and my health to other physicians in the network as evidenced by their comments. He refuses to honor the sponsorship he insisted I apply for. He was concerned for a moment about diabetes and neuropathy. But when my legs developed sores so purple they looked black, he diminished my concerns.

Very dedicated and continues to study new medical information. Highly concerned with the individual as a patient and as a human.
