When I say this was the best experience I ever had with a provider I mean it. Him and his staff were extremely supportive, helpful, respectful all of the above. I would recommend both his office to anyone who needs to see him. He explained everything to me in a way I can understand it, he even responded back to me after hours Swiftly. We need more providers like this in 2024 I can’t thank him or his team enough. Try to keep your staff they was A1

I haven't seen Dr. Dirocco for quite awhile. He was my previous doctor at GBMC. He was, and is kind, caring physician. He helped me when I was at a low point and I will never forget that. Highly recommended.

I cannot possibly praise Dr. Joseph DiRocco and his team highly enough. In short, he saved my life. This is a man at the top of his profession and for good reason. I was diagnosed with "chronic diverticulitis" and referred for surgery last spring. Well, it turned out to be colon cancer and was caught at Stage 1. Trust this man, he is the best.

Dr. DiRocco is the most thorough doctor that I’ve ever been to. He explained everything to me so that I would understand every process of my surgery. He is the most pleasant n caring surgeon I know.

What a great surgeon. I underwent colon surgery for chronic diverticulitis. An excellent surgeon with an excellent and accessible bedside manner. This was elective surgery and I took my time making this decision. I was never rushed or pushed in any particular direction. It was my decision to pursue surgery, or not. I can tell you that Dr. DiRocco is an excellent communicator and very much down to earth. I highly recommend him for anyone considering or requiring colorectal surgery. With Dr. DiRocco, you have a highly trained, accomplished, and relatable surgeon. That’s all I can ask for when I’m “under the knife.”

I had THD hemorrhoid surgery performed by Dr. DiRocco at GBMC on May 23, 2019 and had a positive experience. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. The outcome has been excellent. My only regret is that I didn't have this surgery done years ago. I highly recommend Dr. DiRocco.

Dr. Dirocco performed an emergency appendectomy for me and I am so fortunate he was able to be there to perform the surgery. He arrived very early to perform the procedure and was kind, reassuring and informative. I had my procedure during Covid-19 so I was unable to have anyone with me at the hospital. He cared about reaching out to my husband and personally called him two times to update him on how I was doing before and after my procedure. That is compassion at its finest. Dr. Dirocco cares about people and is a true professional in so many ways. When we had a follow-up appointment, he even remembered my husband’s name and my case. I highly recommend Dr. Dirocco and hope to see him again under better circumstances!

Dr. DiRocco was my Surgeon for a Laparoscopic Sigmoid Colonoscopy on March 6, 2020. From my first visit to his office over two years earlier, he showed both tremendous empathy to my diverticulitis condition and thorough analysis of my current symptoms and test results. He carefully monitored my condition during the two years until I became a candidate for surgery. Each visit included a complete analysis of my CAT scan results and progression of the disease. The day of my surgery progressed like a well oiled machine. From check-in to preparations before surgery everyone was comforting and efficient. The operative team was most impressive. Dr. DiRocco immediately spoke with my wife after surgery and was both thorough and comforting. The GBMC Nursing staff was awesome during recovery and when I was moved to my room. I showed remarkable progress and got out of bed 10 hours after I was moved to the room. Within 3 hours I was walking independently. Twelve hours later I was released.??

Dr. Dirocco has a great bedside manner, puts a patient at ease and is very knowledgeable about his field.

First time patient. Very happy with Dr. DiRocco! He took the time to listen to my issues, explained everything in detail and I never felt rushed. His staff was pleasant and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. DiRocco. Although I had to wait about 6 weeks for an appointment it was well worth the wait.

I was recently discharged from GBMC after a lengthy stay at GBMC for serious complications from diverticulitis and subsequent colostomy. I was a mess physically and mentally and terrified of the whole thing. Dr. DiRocco was AMAZING. I am beyond grateful to him for his kindness, patience and his professional knowledge. He has a superb bedside manner and visited me often to see how I was getting along and to answer any questions. I felt completely safe and secure in his care.

I never got a chance to even meet Dr. DiRocco because his office staff was so rude and abusive on the phone, when I was simply trying to find out information and make an appointment. I spoke to two receptionists, and both of them were irritated by the most basic questions about the doctor’s locations, availability, and hospital privileges. The first one gave me information that later turned out to be completely false, and the second one inexplicably hung up on me as I was trying to make an appt.

Dr Dirocco allowed me to share a lot of my medical history, did not rush me through our visit. I felt listened to which is of utmost importance to me as a patient. He also respected my proactive & holistic approach to my health. He was incredibly respectful and gentle during his exam, and I am grateful to be scheduled for a colonoscopy feeling confident in his and his staff's care for me while I'll be under anesthesia.
