Such an efficient process. Questions answered, took time to explain, exceptional skill in orthopedics, based on previous and current experience. Great about several last minute cancellations on my part; exceptional about getting another appointment in short timeframe. Wouldn't consider anyone else to provide treatment or the facility care was at. Super efficient team of experts.

Dr Carlson replaced my right knee in May of 2023 and my left knee in February of 2024. He and his staff did an excellent job on both. I was mowing lawn in 3 weeks after the first one and shoveling and blowing snow within 3 weeks of the second one. I am looking forward to being able to go elk hunting again!

Couldn't be happier with the experience and the results. Everything from the preoperative office visit, surgery, recovery period, and followup went very well. Gotta say you have to put in the effort to achieve the functional range of motion after surgery. Suspect I will have the right knee replaced in the near future and have no concerns.

Had knee replacement in 2018. Dr Carlson did an excellent job and his staff were excellent to work with. I’ll be having my other knee done soon. He’s a great surgeon and very kind, understanding with his patients and very down to earth. I tell ppl the excellent job he and his staff have done & I’m confident my other knee will turn out great too.

I have been a huge fan of Dr. Carlson and The Bone & Joint center for a long time. Have not had a bad experience there ever.

Both my knees were worn out. I was at the point where I couldn’t put in a good days work anymore. So I finally went into Bone And Joint Center, for the first time ever had my knees x-rayed and looked at. I was told I had the stage three arthritis, bone on bone. So I arranged to see Joe Carlson and asked him what he would do if my knees were his knees. He said he’d have total replacement surgery so I did it. At close to three months after surgery, I could go for long walks. I could also mow my yard which is really steep and has 4 retaining walls. So I had the left one done next. For some reason it went even better than the right one. At six weeks I am able to walk 3 miles. Go up and down steps, slowly. (17) at my house! I am off pain accept for an occasional night when I’ll Take one to help me sleep better. Kudos to Joe Carlson and the team at the surgical center and Bone And Joint Center. Including the physical therapist.

Second knee replacement went just like the first - perfect. Dr. Joe is personable, explains the benefits and alternatives to surgery in language anyone can understand, and has a superb team working with him.

Dr. Carlson performed a total knee replacement January 29, 2019. I highly recommend him. He is thorough and explains practices and procedures in a non complex manner. He answered all of my questions and concerns. Both he and his staff are excellent to work with. I will be having my other knee done by him in a few months.
