Don’t see him unless you want to become an addict!
Keeps you waiting for hours never calls in prescriptions. My worst nightmare! Threatened me if I didn’t have the same tests that never helped had many times he would dismiss me. Never helped me in any way only tried to make me an addict. He should no longer be able to practice medicine. He didn’t have the opportunity to dismiss me I did that myself before he killed me. He’s so full of himself and does not care about his patients. I wouldn’t even give him one star but I had no choice.

Dr. Alshon has been my Dr. for 15 years, needless to say he is excellent in evaluation of his patients. He genuinely cares for his patients and teaches very helpful suggestions. Someone help me find him, as he no longer works @ APC. Does he have a new office?

Not a good doctor at all.
He is not a good doctor. He gives treatments that do not work and then dismisses you as a patient when after many treatments you do not want to experiment with more, and then refuses to give medication for pain.

Under staffed
I like Dr. Alshon's knowledge of his practice. However, I cannot leave out the fact that my visit is 2 hours wait in lobby and 30 minutes in room. I am ALWAYS late on getting my meds (5-9 days) because he NEVER puts it in after each patient. I will be looking for another timely doctor. I cannot work and suffer.

Extremely Rude and Bully’s Patients
Dr.Alshon is incredibly rude, he bully’s me every time I come in and seems to hold my prescription refills hostage. He does not care about the severe withdrawal and health complications associated with not having your prescription pain medication. I was recently threatened to be discharged unless I was injected with whatever procedure they want to do now. After almost 7 years of being a patient of Alshon’s I was told he was an “enabler” & would no longer see me as a pain patient nor write my refills unless I agreed to be injected with whatever he deems appropriate. No explanation really, complete disregard for the severe life threatening withdrawal. I can not believe the way I have been treated and now since I do not want injections or procedures because the last 6-7 years my current treatment has improved my life regardless of the bullying attitude I had to encounter with every visit. My life is now on the line thanks to Dr.Alshon. There are a myriad of other issues as well.

Spoke to me in a condescending manner after making me wait over 3 hours, staff rude, office filthy, where do I stop? Overall, a miserable experience.

I had been promised and pre-approved for a specific procedure to relieve pain. The day of the procedure all final approvals were reviewed and agreed to and understood by multiple healthcare providers including the anesthesiologist and alshon. When I was already under anesthesia alshon performed a different procedure which I would have never agreed to if i had been awake.

Dr. Alshon has been my quality of life lifesaver. He takes the time to listen and works with me to find a better solution to ease the daily pain. He understands the "plug and play" doesn't work for all human machines. He also keeps updated in the medical field often telling me new studies coming out affecting my medical issues. I am very happy to have found Dr. Alshon. If I didn't like Dr. Alshon I sure would have not given any of my homemade Mango Jam that I stood and made through all this COVID-19. We are still looking to get relief but I'm very sure Doc will find a Solution real soon, and to everyone else who complains about the scheduling, if your looking for a great doctor Dr. Alshon is he one and "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE" you have to wait for the best! JOSEPH ALSHON is a terrible, rude, bully of a doctor, not only does he make you wait 1-3 HOURS in the waiting room every single time, but he rushes you in and out of the room, doesnt answer your questions and is very unknowledgable about any pain issues you may have. I saw him a few times and finally had enough of his bullyish attitude that i went to see someone else in a different practice. his office is filthy dirty and they book 4 to 5 patients all at the same time. This office is a total "$$ grab" all they care about is getting your $, JOSEPH ALSHON is terrible, do not see him, he is the worst medical doctor i have seen in 20+ years. Unless you like being bullied by a doctor!? 0 stars if i could!
