Dr. Jose Pierrend, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Pierrend’s for over 10 years and all of my interactions with him have been very professional. He does come off a little awkward or odd, it’s just his personality and him trying to best help you with whatever issue you came to see him for. He cares about his patients but also respects their privacy so doesn’t try to probe you with a million questions. If you are in need of a primary care doctor I would highly recommend Dr. Pierrend!

My experience with Dr. Pierrend, and his Medical Assistant, was a 10.They both have this special super-power. They LISTEN to this patient. In all the years I have known Dr. Pierrend, he has never talked to me, at me or down to me. He has always talked with me. We converse as equals, and communicate openly. He's receptive, glad to see me, caring, empathetic and responsive to ensure my well-being.You are fortunate to have him as a member of your team.Thank you very much Dr. Pierrend.

Visited him for prescription refill and seeking a new Dr. He was very thorough, but never filled the prescriptions and never gave results of 3 blood tests or the reason for the third test. The staff does not return calls nor do they answer the phone. Had to contact a different Dr to get the prescriptions filled. This is for a heart patient and either he or his staff never followed through on his promise to send it into the pharmacy that day, that was 2 weeks ago. However, we have received the bill.

Dr Pierrend is a very caring and compassionate person. He takes time with you and answers all questions. I am a nurse of 38 years and have worked with many many Dr’s. He is on my top 10 list of Dr’s that feel are competent and cares. I am glad I found him and he is my Dr. Thank you for reading my post. Laurie Decatur

I have been seeing Dr Pierrend over the past 3 years. His honest and straightforward approach is appreciated. Dr Pierrend takes the time to listen to my concerns as well as asks probing questions ensuring he understands the situation correctly. Always the consummate professional, I have referred family and friends to him as well. I trust Dr Pierrend with my health, as well as the health of my loved ones. He has always been there for me on all scheduled and emergency appointments.

so the girl up front said no way, we cannot see him. They told us to continue our 1 hr drive to see him after we called explaining our car accident. We lived far away. So we couldn’t see him, we needed scripts and referrals very badly. So they rescheduled and we accepted that reluctantly and drove 50 miles back home.......a week later, an hour before our appointment, the girl called to tell us we’re canceled and that we were “not a good fit” for them. She vindictively did this. Horrible staff

There’s no issue with Doctor. Never got to see him. Heard only possitive things about Pierrend. However the girls (NOT women....girls), they are beyond rude and ridiculous. We were a bit late first time, they would not see us, I get it, fair enough. The 2nd time we went, we got rear ended by a crappy driver, we were going to be late. We called and explained our situation and that we might be a few minutes late. They said “still come in”. We got there 7 min late, the GIRL said we were too late

This Doctor cares about his patients and really wants to help get their levels correct. In other words he'll adjust medications based on lab results and really makes the patient feel at home and comfortable too. Michael M.

I think he is knowledgeable and aided me in my health issues that I had from other states. The office staff is lax. But he is part of PMG Corporation. Any Corp these days has very little concern for those they are to working for.
