Unprofessional Appointment Experience
Had the worst experience in getting an appointment for this doctor. I changed my holiday and travel plans to fit this doctor as I have a cardiac issue I was hoping to address. Unfortunately, the patients care does not seem to be a priority. Once the first appointment was setup, which was weeks out, the rudest person called the morning of the appointment to cancel. The excuse was that the doctor was “not available”. They booked me out three weeks later. On the day of the new appointment, there was yet another cancellation on the morning of for a “systems issue” and no other appointment was even attempted.

I had my first visit with Dr. Mejia recently and I was very pleased. I have undergone major heart surgery in Dallas almost a year ago. I wanted to establish care with a local cardiologist since I have recently moved to the Austin/Round Rock area. Dr. Mejia made me feel confident that I am in good hands going forward.

Dr. Mejia is the best cardiologist in Austin, TX. He has a wonderful bedside manner and knows his craft of cardiology! His staff are all friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Mejia.

Dr. Mejia has been my doctor since 2006. He knew immediately what was wrong, and he gave me the appropriate meds. I have not had a twinge since. If I ever have a heart attack, I don't want anyone else ever caring for me. I want Dr. Mejia!

Dr. Mejia's manner of engaging was both professional and personable. He was attentive and friendly and knew exactly what our issue was. He recommended two tests that narrowed down what the cause was. Finally having a diagnosis helped us to move forward and we couldn't be more happy. I recommend dr. Mejia to anyone as he listens, pays attention and is straightforward in his recommendations. Plus he has a sense of humour which always goes along way as well!
