Dr. Jose Lopez-Estrada, MD

I arrived, by ambulance, to The Villages Spanish Plains Hospital. The nursing staff were excellent, as well as. the doctors on staff. EXCEPT Dr. Jose Lopez-Estrada. He was arrogant, rude. and completely disrespectful! In short HORRIBLE!! After a year of suffering, a excruciating pai, after a very successful, multiple level back fusion surgery, I've had multiple visits to the ER, in unmanageable pain! All the Doctors, Pirvin, McHale, and St. Pierre, were wonderful, caring, and compassionate. Dr Jose Lopez-Estrada should, never, EVER, treat another person!!!

He does not know how to explain circumstances well and gets arrogant. Left me with many questions unanswered!

Dr. Lopez-Estrada is awful. He has no compassion; no connection to the patients; does not address the patient directly; Does not explain or share plan of care. He could careless about the patient and has an attitude towards family when questions are raised. What I wonder is if his family member was treated as he treats mine how would he feel. just appalling that the Villages Hospital allows this lack of care to continue

The Doctor is a smug, rude and obnoxious person. He only cares about quotas and getting done with you as soon as he can.

On 07/30/20 I was sent to the ER at Villages Reginal Hospital due to abdominal pain where my belly button is. My primary thought it was my hernia that I was proven to have by ultra sound 2 years previously. At the ER I had a cat scan done to see if it was my hernia bothering me. Later I was called back into a room that I shared with 3 other patients where each of their information was openly discussed in front of everyone there which I found disturbing. When Dr Jose Lopez-Estrada got to me he told me that I do not have a hernia & that he's discharging me. I asked him "no hernia? But my ultra sound from 2 years ago shows a hernia of 1.8cm" I happen to bring the report & when I asked Dr Lopez-Estrada to look at the paper, he refused & told me that hernias shrink & disappear. He told me several times that I do not have a hernia. On 09/03/2020 I had hernia surgery to fix my hernia that Dr Lopez_Estrada said I didn't have. FYI hernias DO NOT shrink & disappear!
