I don't understand the good reviews
Wait times of over an hour, with no apology. Seems to not listen, as he misses prescriptions and won't return calls. Office hours are erratic office, with long wait times to speak to someone when the office is open. The office staff is combative and negligent. I highly would not recommend going here.

I trust Dr. Cortes with my family’s life
Dr. Cortes is the physician everyone deserves. I have seen him for 6 years and have the highest trust in him. Dr. Cortes fought to get a life saving medication for me and we won the appeal free of charge to me. I will forever be grateful for that level of care. I now have my husband under his care for a number of issues and we can’t ask for a better healthcare team.

Dr. Cortez is a wonderful person and admirable health professional. He is the best!!! I live in California but he was my doctor when I lived in NY until April 2018.

Dr. Cortes is exactly as a doctor should be- professional, caring, pleasant and extremely easy to talk to. My exam was very thorough. He answered all of my questions and explained everything in a language I could understand. Almost every other doctor I have seen in the city seems to be in a rush but Dr. Cortes took his time and I appreciate that greatly. It is very difficult to find a great doctor in the city but I'm extremely happy to have found Dr. Cortes! I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr.Cortes for a chronic condition I have. Dr.Cortes is extremely considerate, and truly and genuinely cares about his patients. Apart from simple questions, he helped me feel more comfortable with the diagnosis and the direction we are going by explaining the science and rationale behind the diagnosis; including explaining medical terminology, going over individual lab test results, etc. Also, Dr.Cortes's office has online portals to make accessing your records online easy.
