Dr. Jose Boggio, MD

Avoid this “doctor.” He’s terrible. While he’s affable enough, he is simply not competent. Earlier in the year, I was having trouble breathing and had a wheezing sound while I breathed. Long story short, he told me that the test for asthma involved being anesthetized. He dismissed my concerns and did not even listen to my chest. He told me that the wheezing sound was my own doing - it was coming from my vocal cords and I could control it. Eventually found a pulmonologist who ran a test - DID NOT INVOLVE BEING ANESTHETIZED! - and found I have asthma.

Dr Jose is very friendly, kind , patient , and caring . He made my family and I feel welcome and comfortable. He listens and all of my family members will now switch to dr Jose as our primary doctor .

The thing that stood is he had said people that are stressed are acceptable to rashes , and he was right, he should be a therapist. He’s a very good doctor. Thank you, Doctor Boggio

made assumptions without fact checking with his patient. brought up unrelated stories of other countries to SHAME his patient. told his patient 'stop eating, i dont eat breakfast, and rarely eat lunch'avoid this doctor for general practitioner visits his view of anxiety is dim, 'people in Ukraine are anxious, everyone is anxious'edit: i stand by all the words in this review, and i have contacted the state licensing board about this doctor as well as the ombudsman

Did you ever have a doctor that actually shows you your blood results and explains them to you? Well Dr boggio does! He interpreted them for me and we had good serious conversation about my health. First time a doctor made me feel like a human being and part of my treatment plan. If you're looking for a thorough down-to-earth doctor make an appointment with Dr Jose Boggio.

I am writing this review on behalf of my fiancé who recently had a visit with Boggio at the Woodbury office. My fiancé visited the ED a few times due to severe (and new) chest pain. As per the emergency medicine MD's recommendations, my fiancé established a PCP and scheduled an appointment shortly after his ED visit. During my fiancé's initial encounter with Boggio, he was dismissive and arrogant. Before my fiancé could review his symptoms and diagnosis from the hospital, Boggio criticized my fiancé and stated the pain was due to his weight, iterating the pain a result of his intestines being 'too fat'. He proceeded to state that my fiancé is likely to not to make it the age of 60 due to his weight. As a professional in the medical field, I am appalled at this treatment. I understand weight can be a contributing factor to medical needs, but the way it was address is disheartening. I would not recommend this 'doctor' to a snail.

This visit he forgot about me in an empty office and after almost an hour, the receptionist had to come get him for me and another patient because she realized we hadn't left yet. It was slow enough that she (a receptionist with other duties) was able to keep track so there's no excuse for a doctor (whose sole duty would be to see patients) to not be able to keep track. The previous visit he gave me an excuse for why he was late, which I didn't ask for because it was busy. He told me he was living paycheck to paycheck? Then when I'm like wow even doctor's can't escape student loans, he replies "oh well I'm not actually... I was just trying to be relatable". So you're calling me poor? We have never had even had a convo before, this was his first time speaking to me. Most unprofessional doctor EVER! TLDR: He randomly called me poor (visit 1) and forgot about me and his other patient for an hour in an empty office (visit 2). I didn't add this, but he also rushes everything (Visit 1&2)
