Dr Alvarez is very professional and helpful. He doesn’t have to check who you are in the computer because he knows every patient and treated them with kind. As Dr and as a human being 10/10 100% recommended

I went for depression and he tried to push unnecessary antipsychotics (resperidone, and then Seroquel) onto me and claimed that its a mood stabilizer i will need to be on my whole life. He also diagnosed me with PTSD which I dont suffer at all from. This is all from just ONE visit. He doesnt care about your mental health, he wants to get you hooked on serious medications and claim that you'll need to be on them forever. I highly highly highly DO NOT RECCOMEND HIM.

I have not seen my mom feel so good in years after I took her to Dr. Alvarez. He prescribed her a new set of medications which has been a true blessing for her. He was calm and patient, and listened to all we had to say about her condition during her visit. The two girls at the front desk are very nice and friendly. I wish I had known about him long time ago. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez.

Horrible doctor, does not listen to patients needs and previous diagnosis. Uses his iPhone during sessions. Be aware!

BEYOND RUDE staff. I had an emergency with a rx refill needed & the receptionist continued to tell me I should've known I needed a refill. She offered to talk to the Dr, to see if he would be willing to give me an emergency refill, since its a medication I've already been taking for two years. She called me back and said the Dr. said no, he needs to see me & gave me two appt times, during my working hours. I tried to give another time that I could come & she said no. She told me to find a new Dr

Dr. Alvarez sat down in our initial consultation and was very warm and welcoming. He's an excellent Psychiatrist that makes sure find the best possible treatment for you. 10/10

Dr. Alvarez did a very good job at explaining how my body would react to the medications and truly cared about selecting a medication that would not cause side effects. He showed compassion and took the time to ask why I was feeling what I was feeling.
