Dr. Jorge Alegria, MD

I am seventy-five years old. From the beginning of my treatment Dr. Alegria showed his apathy and lack of interest in my case. He barely checked me, ending his consultations, no more than fifteen minutes, with the insignificant little phrase “I see you fine”. Sometimes he would take cell phone calls, leave the room and not return. Lately I have not been able to get an appointment with Dr. Alegria, who committed the disrespectful and inconsiderate act of canceling four consecutive appointments without explanation. I transferred my care to another doctor and location and I do not recommend Dr. Alegria to anyone. I give him only one star because I can't put zero star.

Dr Alegria left me waiting in the exam room for him for 50 minutes (after meeting with nurse). Then he spoke with me briefly and then stepped out to take a call. When he returned he was not prepared about my case and they did not have the images from my referring doctor. So, now I will have to have another virtual appointment with another copay etc.

He missed our appointment, rescheduled for later in the day, missed that one too. When we spoke to his nurse later he forgot the whole reason we needed the appointment, and said that we had to go in person. So there never should have been video calls in the first place. He refused to do it over video or call which would not allow my family to be there. Unorganized and unprofessional.

Best of the best !! Wonderful cardiologist !! Never settle, find your own specialist this is your heart. I found Dr. Alegria so happy that I did my research and will be receiving better care.
