Whenever I see Dr. A, he has a smile on his face. He listens to what's going on and makes his recommendation based on my input and his examination. I trust him implicitly! He is kind and very professional. I would highly recommend him and his team at Southest Orthopedic Specialists.

Admitted he made my toes go the wrong direction one year after surgery. Was very evasive in his instructions for surgical procedure. Never told us he broke a bone while doing surgery. Another surgeon explained the presence of the painful hardware. Had to have a repeat surgery.

Everyone I’ve met throughout this experience has been great. Dr. Acevedo was very straight forward and answered all of my questions. I feel confident I’m getting the best care here.

I unfortunately felt very rushed for my appointment with Dr. Acevedo. I was also disappointed that the MRI was not reviewed with me in the office (report and images were not reviewed). Instead, a diagnosis was just thrown at me with no explanation. I did not have time to ask questions that were pertinent to my care, as Dr. Acevedo rushed out the door to the next patient. The office was already running extremely behind for the day. Dr. Acevedo’s assistant was kind and helped with paperwork before leaving. I had high expectations based on reviews and feedback from other patients. Unfortunately, this was not a positive experience as I have more unanswered questions than answers I was looking for.

I had seen 3 other 'specialists' in the last year who just kicked me around from one specialist to another. He treated like my care was important to him. He scheduled my MRI during my visit because I told him i lived more than an hour away. I trust him and believe he can help me get my life back.

I had foot surgery three months before with another surgeon in Jacksonville. Surgery went ok. However went back for my 3 month check up and was cleared. The same day went back to work and someone in 5 inch heels stepped in the middle of that foot. Separated everything. The original doctor said my foot could not be repaired. I went to Dr Acevedo and he said I can help you. After my surgery he put me in therapy . I was told by first Dr I would never run again. Dr Acevedo made sure I could run and wear heels. He is amazing and I am so thankful for him. It’s been six or 7 years and I’m 67 and very active thanks to him
