Dr. Bang is a walking medical library. And he is by far the most experienced doctor you will find. He's been a pillar of Park Slope for so many years that even my grandparents still go to him. He's a straight shooter and extremely experienced.

Extremely Thorough and Kind
Dr. Bang is thorough and kind. His diagnosis and treatment are extremely thorough. You can feel he wants to make sure he takes care of you 100%. Amongst all the physicians I've tried in NYC, his bedside manner is first-class and you get a sense that he really cares about you and your medical issue as if you are family. Highly recommend!

Pro
After a slew of disasters with unqualified 'professionals' we ultimately went with Dr. Bang. He's the real deal and a pro. If you can get around that he's from a different era when doctors were actually there to help you vs drug you to the gills, you'll have a medical professional as part of your life team. Personally, I'm not there to be sweet talked by a secretary. My family and I (and my whole church) chose him because he offers you the peace of mind of knowing you are getting real solutions.

I went to Dr. Bang because I read he was a good doctor and he was local. Big mistake: the office is strictly 20th century, and not in a "cool" way: they still with paper records and faxes (faxes?), nothing is computerized (except for ordering meds, which is required by law), there are no regular office hours. You can only make an appointment if it's after 3 pm; otherwise, you'll have to sit in the underground waiting room waiting your turn (however long that takes....) I went in for a simple blood test; Dr. Bang is competent taking blood, and I assumed he would get the reports I need (for past vaccinations.) I wait two weeks, hear nothing back. Call the office; admin tells me they don't know where they are. I ask them to call me back; no return call. I cal two more times, nobody answers, so I leave a message. Message never returned. I got to the office to pick up completed papers (over 2 weeks later), and guess what? NO RESULTS! Never going back.

I never give a review but this time, I feel obliged. STAY AWAY from this place. The place has the worst admin/appointment system and will overbook patients making you wait so long every time. Plus if this were a restaurant, the place would've failed a health/sanitary inspection. So gross. Doctor seemed ok but there's just so many qualified doctors in the neighborhood.

Dr.Bang was the best doctor that I have ever gone to. He is professional, yet very kind & caring. To me this man right on target with my diagnosis. Several doctors I had seen previously had no clue what was wrong with me. After a few tests Dr.Bang knew everything! His initial diagnosis was correct before I even had the tests. The man is incredible.

UNBELIEVABLE find. Dr Joon J Bang was recommended to me by his son, Eric Bang. I took a 10-minute train ride from Manhattan, walked-in and saw him within 15 minutes (he runs a very cozy yet professional operation). And unbelievably, Dr. Bang was able to offer an initial diagnosis in a 7-minute conversation. After some tests, his medical assessment was 100% on target. I highly recommend that you go and visit Dr. Joon J. Bang as soon as possible to simply witness what I personally experienced. ow!

Dr. Bang is simply a hidden gem in Park Slope and a pillar in our community. I own a popular restaurant in the community and heard about him through several of my customers. His name popped up so many times that I had to check him out. Honestly, I never heard of him. But, I think that is his business style. He barely advertises and word of mouth seems to be the only way to find him. I mean he got me to become his regular patient, right? You will thank me when call him for an appointment today.
