I have been dealing with chiari Malformation and debilitating headaches along with numbness and horrible pain for 5 years. I was sent to specialist after specialist and never got answers. I was finally referred to Dr White and he changed my life! My brain surgery went perfect, my healing has been easy. There have been a few hiccups along the way but Dr White and his staff have stayed on top of all it. I won’t see anyone else, and I highly recommend him!

No empathy and absolutely no follow up after
Was very dry upon first visit with little to no empathy for bilateral Trigeminal Nueralgia. Due to lack of any doctors in DFW willing to take on a trigeminal patient we choose the only one we could find and figured being at UT Southwest he might help. Yes I know my condition is extreme and I know medicine is a “Parctice” so I don’t expect miracles but come on how bout an ounce of compassion. We still live in DFW but have since had to leave the state to find help elsewhere. Literally never set up a follow up after my surgery and when we scheduled it he was not happy we were there. By the way every specialist I’ve seen since is shocked by the lack of documentation in my post op reports. Having family in medical field and dealing with this for several years we all agree the state of medicine in our country is pathetic.

Dr. White has changed my life! I had a very unsuccessful shunt surgery at another hospital in Dallas. When that original surgeon refused to correct his mistakes, Dr. White agreed to take me on as a patient. I was able to see him almost immediately, and he performed an emergent surgery to replace my shunt. It has been nearly 11 years since that surgery and I have rarely had any issues. I made an appointment to have my shunt checked out early last year. He remembered me and genuinely cared how I had been over the past 10 years. He is an amazing doctor and I have recommended him to everyone I come in contact with these days.

My experience with Dr. Jonathan White was very pleasant and beneficial. He took his time explaining my diagnosis and explaining my options and at no time did I feel that I was taking up too much of his time. He is competent, extremely professional, knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon that treated me with kindness and compassion. He performed MVD (Microvascular Decompression) surgery on me in September 2019 for hemifacial spasms with excellent results. I will be forever grateful for Dr. White and highly recommend him to anyone needing help with the same or similar issues.

After being turned down by a local neurosurgeon, I traveled to Dallas for a second opinion. Dr. White successfully performed MVD for my TN. Dr. White met with me and my family before surgery, after surgery and the day after surgery. From start to finish every member of the UT Southwestern team at the neurosurgery clinic and at Zale Lipshy exceeded all my expectations. Do not base your decision on negative reviews, there are many happy, satisfied patients that don't post.

Dr. White completed my microvascular decompression brain surgery for trigeminal neuralgia. He is very thorough and informative, patient and kind. He's taken time to calm my nerves both before and after surgery, and I know that if I have to have surgery again for the other side or any other procedures for TN, he is my go-to guy!

Dr. stated he could help me. After ordering two very expensive tests, he never called me with the results or even stated that there was nothing he could. I would not recommend UT southwestern Neurosurgery to anybody. The complaint department does even help you. They treat you very badly.

Well he did a balloon rizothomy in my husband, didn't work, made him worse! I understand he may not work on everyone. I don't like that he has yet to come and see my husband whom is in the hospital. He sends his nurse practioners. I think when you do surgery on someone you personably should come and talk...so with that said I'm looking for a new one...

Dr. White put a shunt in my head for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. My symptoms disappeared immediately. I was ready for a nursing home before the operation and now very independent again. In fact I do not have the pain I associated with arthritis anymore. I used to take pain medications daily and I do not need them now. Dr. White vastly improved my life and I will always be indebted to him. Wonderful doctor with a kind, gentle demeanor.

Eleven years ago, Dr. White literally saved my life. I suffered a cerebral aneurysm and Dr. White performed cranial surgery on me. I was in ICU for almost a month, and Dr. White was with me every step of the way. His level of care and professionalism were outstanding and I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone. Without his expertise, I would not be here today.
