Long wait times for him to misdiagnose you
I was referred to Dr. Treisman based on some mild symptoms I was having. Obviously, that's a very stressful referral and I was nervous to learn what was going on. EVERY time I had an appointment with him I would spend hours in the waiting room despite calling ahead of time to see if he was running behind, which the staff suggested I do. Then I would wait for 45 minutes in the room for him to come in and type on the computer for 20-30 minutes and barely acknowledge I was in the room. This went on for months as he continued to insist I had a condition that sounded less and less like my symptoms. When I finally asked him if we could see an intestinal specialist since the biopsies he was prescribing were dangerous and couldn't happen immediately, I found out that it was all a stomach issue that wasn't serious. He was ready to have me go through a dangerous biopsy despite my symptoms not aligning with his diagnosis. I cannot over emphasize how terrible an experience this was.

Go to Froedtert Cancer Center NOT Dr. Treisman
He misdiagnosed my cancer and didn’t start any treatment until 7 months after my first visit. By then my tumor had grown from 1 cm to 8cm. I got a second opinion at Froedtert and they saved my life. Dr. Treisman misdiagnosed the pain I was having and I almost got a hysterectomy. Thank God I went to Froedtert for a second opinion since all the pain was from my cancer and once I received treatment my pain was better. I would have had an invasive surgery because of his mistakes! He has HORRIBLE bedside manner- never looked me in they eyes, only kept typing on his laptop. He never explained anything about treatment (or why he wasn’t doing any treatment!) and he got antagonistic if I had questions. He doesn’t confer with other doctors like they do at Froedtert. He runs hours behind. They tell you it’s because he takes time with each patient. But it’s because it’s like pulling teeth to get any information. Even if you think he’s good and you like him, PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!!

Be prepared to wait. My appointment was for 9 am. I Didn’t get into the exam room until 1130. The staff is terrible. Front staff are very rude and you cannot understand a word that his ‘nurse’ says to you. Seriously thinking of changing doctors because of the constant waiting to be seen.

Dr treisman took care of me when I had TTP my first episode wasn't 2003 and then my second relapse 2005 Dr treisman did everything she could to make me better and I appreciate that he was the doctor they called when I was in the ER I arrived at the ER with 10,000 platelets I was almost dead they call dr. Treisman and he knew what to do for me I have no problems at this time he was over at Saint Luke's and I have nothing negative to say about him I need a bread my brother had cancer and he offered that if he could do anything for me just to let him know. I gave him four stars because of the wait time but it was worth the wait in my case.

Unimpressed. My Father was under his care starting the end of October until his passing in mid-December. Numerous tests were conducted with no definitive answers until after my Father passed away. Very poor communication, appointments always ran at least one hour behind, follow up was non-exsistent. Definite lack of urgency in trying to obtain accurate diagnosis. My Father deserved respect and compassion during the last 6 weeks of life, he definitely did not receive either from Dr. Treisman!

WORST doctor and nursing staff I have EVER had to deal with! He came 2 hours late for the initial consultation and didn't apologize for it. Worst bedside manner ever! When I had to call for a refill for my dad's pain medication, I received total attitude from his staff and literally had to go to his office to complain and get the script. One month after my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer, we were still waiting to hear from someone in his office about test results and treatment plan.
