Prescribed 1k mgs of lithium twice daily as a 14 y/o. Ignored extremely painful gastrointestinal side effects, unhealthy weight gain, severe appetite issues, all under the assumption that i was "anxiously making these side effects up". Dr Stevens majority patient base is Autistic-I am not-unfortunately i believe this frustrated him, a juvenile patient that actually had a cognitive sense of things. If that is how I felt, its quite sickening to think of those with Autism/ cognitive disabilties.
