Dr. Jonathan Kao, MD

Patient was in severe and worsening pain for over a year. Kao was suggesting different treatments including surgery. Patient started with the lesser treatments, but requested the surgery after a year of no progress. Kao couldn’t be bothered to read the patient’s chart before the appointment and instead tried to prescribe the same ineffective treatments again as though they were new treatments. When he was made aware of this, he tried an amniotic membrane instead. Kao knew this wouldn’t fit, because he said that, and it fell out within hours. No one responded from his office and they tried to charge nearly $1500 for this.We had to call daily for two weeks to get a simple prescription refilled. We had to call over 5 times to request our medical records that still have not been made available. In the meantime we met with a specialist has already began an effective treatment plan. I hope Kao gets a Dr who is as callous towards pain & lazy as he is next time he finds himself in need
