Saved my life after Triple Bypass surgery .A true professional. Methinks for bringing me back to life!

If I could give Dr. Hammond 10 stars, I would certainly give him that many stars. We were so blessed to have this amazing surgeon. Perform my husband‘s open heart surgery. Not only is he a master in the OR, but also has the most caring bedside manner. Prior to Denny’s surgery, he indicated that he would be calling me around 6 PM. Imagine this man in the midst of repairing my husband‘s heart would remember that I was expecting a call around 6 PM. Had an OR nurse call me at 6:04 PM and let me know that it would be approximately 30 to 40 minutes until the end of the operation. True to that word, it was 38 minutes later that I received the wonderful news from Dr. Hammond that all was well. We can’t say enough positive things about the entire process from our first visit to our last visit a month after the surgery. He and his entire staff Entire staff are exceptional in every way. God bless you all!!

I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and have been receiving regular cardiac care for the last 40 years. This year was the first time my cardiologist didn’t say see you next year. I was not surprised as I had been feeling a change in my heart over the last 6 months or more. My cardiologist recommended Dr Hammond. After my experiences I can fully recommend Dr Hammond for any cardiovascular surgery you may need. As the title of this review says, he is the real deal. I’ve heard those words from multiple colleagues. Your heart and your body will be in good hands with Dr. Hammond. He’s also surrounded by the best staff! Everyone is kind and caring and really works hard to instill self confidence every step of the way. You can’t go wrong with Dr Hammond and his team!

He made me feel at ease on a situation I am terrified about, and I have confidence in his skills. A real nice human being for sure.

On Monday, June 21, 2010, while living in Thomaston, CT, Dr. Hammond performed a 6 hour quintuple bypass and aorta valve replacement operation on me. His work was excellent and I was up walking the next day and released from Sr. Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury , CT. that Friday. In a week I was back at work: light office stuff in my printing company.

Excellent Dr. and team! Explained everything so my wife and understood the surgery. Very caring ,professional and compassionate Dr . Would highly recommend.

Very very nice DR. Hammond make me feel very comfortable going to my open heart surgery it was very uncommon only maybe one a year (pericarditis) compressed on my heart and losing my breath, retention of fluid and making all my organs to work properly a I was loosing this battle until Dr.Hammond gave me confidence back on new life. Thank you God for listening to my prayers to put him in my life . God Bless Dr.Hammond and medical assistant. BELIEVE IN GOD. 4months feeling great. :)

Dr. Hammond Jr. In January of 2017 Dr. Hammond performed triple bypass surgery on my wife. Thanks to Dr. Hammond, my wife's life expectancy increased considerably. I would highly recommend him as a great thoracic surgeon.

Thanks to Dr. Hammond, my second birthday is February 17, 2017, when he performed a quadruple bypass on me. His calm, confident and caring demeanor reassured me at a time of great stress, which allowed me to enter the process with a quiet confidence in him and his abilities. By virtue of the fact that I am writing this review, my second life began that day and I have regained lost vitality thanks to Dr. Hammond's skilled mind and hands. If you are ever in a similar condition as mine, I would recommend waiting for an open date for surgery with this exceptionally qualified physician.

In 2010 Dr Hammond performed a mitral valve replacement under difficult conditions, my valve was 'shredded', I was 63 years old, and bloodless surgery was specified. It is now 2019 and I am still going strong as far as the mitral valve is concerned.

In February 2015, a year ago, Dr Hammond performed six bypass surgeries on me. Dr Hammond gave me back a new young life. I feel wonderful! I now run daily, lift weights, bike, hike, and start ever day by doing 100+ push-ups. God bless him.
