Dr. Jonathan Charen, MD

Dr Charen is an amazing, caring, knowledgeable doctor who thinks outside the box and has helped diagnose and treat some pretty serious illnesses in our family. My husband and I trust him so much so that we’ve referred our extended family and some friends to him as well!

I have always found Dr. Charen to be kind, patient and understanding. He listens attentively, then thoroughly explains. He is knowledgeable and quick to consult sources to get to the root of any issue. I have never felt that time was an issue; there is no rush to get to the next patient. I am most satisfied with the care he provides and recommend him wholeheartedly!

I love Dr. Charen. Both my son and I have been seeing him for many years. We even followed him to his new office which is by no means convenient for us. He is kind, a good listener, a good diagnostician, and caring. He remembers what is going on with us from visit to visit. He follows up. He is not an alarmist but, rather, a realist who only treats if necessary. He treats starting at the minimum he feels is necessary before doing anything major. He is matter of fact. I would refer him to anyone.

A professional and caring doctor. He listens and responds with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Charen for your medical needs.

Dr. J. Charen has been my PCP since moving to this area over two years ago. My experience and opinion of him is much higher than some of the lower comments I have read. I find him to be a good listener, explain things well, and checks into anything I mention as a concern. Being in my early sixties with many little issues to watch and monitor, he has followed me well with 6 month follow-ups, lab work, and anything else he or I deem necessary or concerning. I always feel I can speak easily with my concerns and questions and he responds with patience and knowledge. He has even called me once to discuss a concern. I'm glad I chose him for my PCP.

No real point in seeing him because if you need anything beyond a checkup he will just refer you elsewhere which is the sign of a doc that doesn't know how to actually practice medicine.

Pretty good doctor. Smart and helpful.

Since 2004, Dr Charen has been my Primary Care Physical. He is sensitive, caring, an excellent listener and takes all the time a patient requires. Exceptionally knowledgeable. A Doctor of the highest integrity who always puts his patients first. Dr Charen is the reason I am still alive.

Overrated. Know it all. Too many patients. Doesn't follow up. Doesn't know how to treat migraines. Incapable of effectively treating high blood pressure. Nothing but a referral monkey.

Dr. Charen is one of my favorite doctors. He listens to what you have to say and is direct and to the point. I have recommended his services a bunch of co-workers and friends.

I think Dr Charen is an excellent physician. He is easy to talk to, very understanding and very thorough. I trust his judgements and recommendations. He’s become my “primary request” since Dr Napolitano retired.

He wasn't a nice person.

He is not a good doctor at all and recommended placebo herbals. Dr. Charen is a joke. Don't go see him. He loves to hear himself talk and doesn't listen to patients at all.

If I could rate no stars I would. I'm sure that Dr Charen is a great doctor, however, the receptionist that I spoke with to schedule an appointment was extremely rude and was not accommodating from the point of answering the phone. If you hate your job then find something that will make you happy. The receptionist was so rude in regards to setting up a simple appointment I felt that it wasn't worth wasting anymore of my time with the practice.
