Dr. Jonathan Burkes, MD

Dr. Burkes went out of his way to make sure my daughter received the care she needed. Other orthos in Midland were more relaxed , but he was adamant that she needed a certain procedure asap. Once he got us transferred to Lubbock we realized he was correct and if it had been delayed she would have had permanent knee damage or worse at only 6 years old. We really are so thankful for his knowledge and expertise!

Dr Burkes was not our doctor, because we had never needed him before. But he was asked by a friend ( passed on by his wife, who had to try so hard to get a hold of him), to step in and help with a 6 year old little girl. She needed to get transported from Midland Hospital to Lubbock Hospital ( on an IV for a staph infection, so couldn't drive her there). He took an hour out of his day ( with his real patients waiting) ( they understood) to get the message across to the doctors at Midland Hospital, to get her in that ambulance ASAP!!!! She had a staph infection that needed immediate attention and it was only his very important and timely intervention that got her to Lubbock and the surgery at 1AM!! He did not know the little girl or her parents...he did it because her little life mattered!! It was important for her safety! He did not get paid. We are so thankful for his caring enough to step in and get her the help she needed....with no benefit for himself. Hes a hero!!!

He was thoughtful and caring. He answered all of my questions and is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. The staff is exceptional. Sometimes his wait times can be long but he is definitely worth the wait. He takes the time to make sure I understand everything and spends as much time as needed. I recommend him to EVERYONE!

I found Dr. Burkes to be unconcerned, late (very), and he hurried through both appointments. He let his nurses take care of me - was just in and out on both visits. I received a cortisone shot on the 2nd visit (each appt is 2 months apart) and told to come back in 2 more months. Pain is not any better. I'm looking for another doctor

Dr Burkes and his staff are GREAT! Attended all my mothers needs and took his time explaining the type of treatment that would be beneficial for her. Wait time wasn’t the best however it was worth the wait. 10/10 would recommend him to all my family and friends for any orthopedic needs.

Dr. Burkes took the time to explain my procedure and is very attentive. His staff was very kind. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Burkes and his staff are outstanding!! Breaking a leg was the most traumatic thing I have been through. Dr. Burkes explained what to expect and he was spot on. I hope I never break anything again but I would definitely go back to Dr. Burkes if I did!
