My elderly father was not feeling well and is currently under a cardiologist care at Hawthorn Medical in Dartmouth, MA. Unfortunately, his symptoms were concerning to me and it happened to be on Christmas. Dr. Bier was the on call doctor and when he called me back he was obviously annoyed that I had contacted him. He did not even allow me to explain my concerns and immediately began to tell me I should have called his Primary not him. He would not let me get in a word. I understand it was Christmas but if your on call for that day regardless if it is a Holiday or not shouldn't you be more concerned with the person on the other end. Dr. Bier you lacked empathy, compassion and you were just unprofessional. Not sure how you would have reacted if it was your family member.
