Dr. Jonathan Arciniegas, DO

For someone that works the medical field I cannot be more disappointed with a comment this Dr made. I came in struggling from Covid with horrible breathing issues as I am a severe asthmatic. My lungs were clear on the x-ray and I’ve been on a high dose of prednisone from the beginning of Covid. The Doctor wanted me off this high dose of daily prednisone 50mg) and he wanted me to stop cold turkey. No doctor in the right mind would ever suggest stopping prednisone cold turkey. When a doctor lacks such a basic understanding of a drug like prednisone how can you trust a doctor with anything else. When I questioned him he acted ignorant and remarked with some snotty comment. I cannot be more disappointed especially during the influx of COVID-19 cases. I think the doctor should be spoken to and schooled on the basic understanding of prednisone. Shame on him for not knowing this and acting annoyed when someone knowledgeable questioned him on it.
