I visited Dr. Arnouk’s office and was impressed by the clean, welcoming environment and professional staff. The intake process was smooth, with minimal wait time and friendly staff, which initially gave me confidence in the care I’d receive. Five stars for the team!Unfortunately, I’m giving only one star overall due to my experience with Dr. Arnouk himself. After my X-ray, he entered the exam room, friendly but dismissive of my questions, offering generalized statistics instead of a personal evaluation. Without any physical examination, he informed me my X-ray was normal and suggested physical therapy and a short-term medication. He asked no questions about my symptoms, quality of life, past treatments, or activity level. After 11 weeks of physical therapy with no improvement, I saw a different specialist who expressed shock at the lack of thorough examination. It was a night-and-day difference, underscoring my disappointment with Dr. Arnouk’s approach.

Terrible experience. Poor bedside manner, barely listened to what I was saying, prescribed a cocktail of medicine that I didn't need, and which caused me further big health problems. I would never recommend that anyone sees this doctor. Do yourself a favor and schedule with someone else, even if it means waiting longer. I hate to leave a review like this, but it really was such a bad experience I want to warn others.

Arrogant and unhelpful
I came to Dr. Arnouk with a 2-month old injury that I was worried was not healing correctly. Dr. Arnouk seemed completely uninterested in listening to my experience (possibly because I’m female, or he’s just generally arrogant). He told me false information that I easily found out was wrong later with a quick google search. For example he told me I definitely had a ligament tear “because that’s what an ankle sprain is”. Untrue for a low-grade sprain, and also untrue according to the MRI I got later. He said my ankle was slow to heal because I had a severe sprain. I told him it had never been extremely painful, bruised or swollen so I was pretty sure it wasn’t that severe and was more likely a joint issue. He rejected this and said it wouldn’t swell as much if I had sprained my ankle before. When I explained I had never injured my ankle before, he said “yes you did” and insisted I’d sprained it as a child. The MRI showed that I was right and the problem was in my joint. Horrible doctor!

Years later, still thinking about how bad he is.
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Arnuk years ago, and unfortunately he seems to be the only sports medicine doctor Mt. Sinai general practitioners are allowed to recommend for relevant conditions. Terrible bedside manner, rude, cocky, over confident. Seek care elsewhere because he has a history of being incredibly WRONG about his diagnoses.

Avoid this doctor
Horrible bedside manner and terrible practice. Avoid this doctor at all costs. Dr. Arnouk was rude and unhelpful. I came in specifically for an MRI referral due to an accident and he refused to give me one. I cried begging for an MRI knowing the extent of my injury and he refused because he didn’t want to do the paperwork. Instead, he wrote a prescription for pain medication and muscle relaxers and kicked me out. Worst doctor interaction I’ve ever had. That being said, his clinical staff was lovely. Avoid this doctor, he has no interests in helping patients, just wants to shuffle people in and out.

Very little info provided
Felt very rushed and left both appointments I’ve had very unclear on what I should do next, best healing practices, etc. He claims it’s a torn hamstring, but no MRI offered so who really knows. He was a bit dismissive when I asked clarifying questions. 4 weeks into my healing journey, I’m seeking a second opinion with a new doctor. Hopefully I’ll get more guidance on what I should and shouldn’t do at this stage.

Unprofessional
Doctor never came to the video call. It took an additional 25 minutes before someone called me back from the office to let me know whether he was going to hold the visit. At that time I had to return to work. I could of made arrangements if I was advised he was running late but no courtesy was given. By the reviews online about this MD, I dodged a bullet. I just hope they return my copay soon.

Fine, at the first visit. Gave me the most pertinent options for treatment. Quick appointment, though. I presume he diagnosed correctly based on the cursory examination of limb and x-ray. Last time I has this issue on the other side of my body, the doctor sent me for an MRI. Here, no.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a medical “professional”. Rude, arrogant, completely dismissive, argumentative, condescending…I could go on. Did not even examine me at all. Tries to railroad you and get you out the door as quick as he can. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

Unprofessional
This doctor is unprofessional! Doesn’t listen to his patients and misdiagnosed my injury. I asked for an MRI and he refused. I couldn’t seem to understand why that was? Although I got an MRI through a different doctor and it turns out that I have a torn ACL. I could’ve gotten treatment much faster had this doctor done his job correctly! If you are considering this doctor regarding your injury please do not! My experience with this doctor was unbelievably unprofessional! It’s sad that someone like this was given the right to become a doctor. Very arrogant and inaccurate in his assessment of my injury. This has ultimately caused my condition to worsen. I will be filing a report to Mount Sinai!

He used a 7 minute phone call to hypocritically tell me it’s been too long since I was in the office, but also used that same old information to make action plans and refuse new imaging despite it being years since the last ones-and then he read those old results inaccurately. He was late to our appt, didn’t listen to a word I said, and then proceeded to tell me I still needed to come into the office. It’s okay for him to use old tests and refuse new ones but it’s not okay for me to use an old doctor without a new in person visit? He’s disrespectful, hypocritical, inconsiderate and unprofessional. Never again.

Had persistent knee pain despite tons of PT. Had arthroscopy on the knee and it was night and day. I am much better and wish I did this much much earlier. Great staff as well. Easy to talk to and understands how to take care of you.

Dr. Arnouk is arrogant and rude. He treated my slight break in a finger as if my whole arm was broken. He casted my arm from the tips of my fingers to below my elbow. The cast was too tight. My fingers and hand swelled. When I returned to him to make him remove the cast. He insisted in a nasty voice that he did not make the cast too tight. He lied and said he tried to call me after I had called his office to say my hand was swelling and I had pain in my arm. I was home all day! If he did try to call and got my answer machine he could have left a message. He couldn't (or wouldn't) give me an answer as to why the swelling, if not for the cast being too tight. The cast was also cutting into my thumb. He shrugged that off as normal for that type of cast. Really?! I showed him pictures of the swollen fingers. No comment from him just more shrugs. In the end he told me the original splint I had on the finger from Urgent Care was okay to use.

I work long hours and currently using crutches to commute to and from work in the busy nyc streets. It’s not an easy thing to do. My ankle has only gotten worse so I searched for an orthopedic to take another look. I chose Dr. Arnouk because he fit within my time I had available as well as the many positive reviews. I was unfortunately extremely disappointed on how his team handled my appointment.I received no phone call from them before my appointment to tell me what I would need to bring. I even called them myself and got no answer. I crutched through Manhattan to see Dr Arnouk only to be told it would be a waste of time without an X-ray. And the X-ray team was closing up for the day. As soon as I walked into the office the lady at the front desk was rude. She obviously wanted to go home. Why accept appointments at 430 if your ready to race out the door. I felt like a burden to that office and will never return. There was no type of compassion or sympathy. Not happy.

Best doctor I have seen in the city. He treated me like a human and took care of me every possible way. I tore up my acl for the 3rd time and could not believe my luck. I thought I was done for. He talked me off the cliff and explained how we could do things to make sure my knee healed right this time. It has now been 2 years and I am back to playing basketball and soccer. I feel like I have my life back and owe it all to dr arnouk. He will be held highly in my mind and my wife. I could not recommend him more
