Exceptional!
Dr.Vansant is a amazing Dr!When I was seeing him and diagnosed on paper with SLE-Lupus, he first (and yes he is rt to the point!), he told me I would not be getting a diagnosis today because he does not diagnosis anything on a first visit unless he is 200%absolutely sure...After seeing Major blood work I had done...that day immediately diagnosed with SLE,(lupus). This was almost 9 years ago, however I received letter back then that he was retiring (Blairsville Ga).I found out by his head nurse at a different Dr's office due to that..he had a hard time retiring and is working, helping somewhere she thought Tennessee..It took that nurse to explain to me he has a different personality, in that he will tell you rt up front about your situation..and lol , he will actually probably be your favorite Dr!...understanding that. And ya know what he was and is!He bent over backwards to help me,and with some things I didn't even know how much he was helping me until a incident..

He is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have NASH and 2 autoimmune diseases, so I need an astute and engaged doctor. He told me not to get a Covid-19 vaccine, not to listen to the CDC, and said that I would not get Covid-19 taking the infamous "Hydroxychloroquine". He listed NASH and Cirrhosis secondary to NASH on my medical chart after the second visit. So, on my third visit, I asked him about it and he denied it. He finally found it on his computer and said he didn't have time for me and that he had other patients waiting for him. He needs to retire. He is not current with the latest treatment options and is too arrogant to admit when he is in over his head... His comprehension and communications skills are subpar, and I am in the process of reporting himand his conspiracy rhetoric about the CDC and vaccines. WARNING: Do not select him as your Doctor.

Melissa in Fannin County Ga, I totally agree with you. Dr. Vansant has a terrible bedside manner. He was very quick to let me know I knew nothing about my issues and treat me like I was ignorant. He ask a question, then when I tried to answer, he said he didn't need the details-rudely I may add.

Dr. Vansant answered all my questions thoroughly and gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision about my treatment options. His staff is professional and friendly. It is great to have such a well qualified Rheumatoligist available without driving 2 hours to Gainesville.

Dr Vansant had a terrible bedside manner. He asked me questions in a hostile tone. I felt like I was being attacked. I told him I had hip pain and pointed to my sides of my hip. He argued with me about where my hip was located. I told him he had a terrible bedside manner. He told me no one had ever told him that before but If i wanted a different dr he could refer me to several it didnt matter to him he had a lot of patients. I left in tears and I will never be back. I do matter. I am important.

He doesn't seem to listen. I asked about foods that may make it worse, he acted like it didn't matter but when i said when I eat sweet things it seems to be worse. He said, yes sugar can do that. Just seems to tell me to take more of the drugs he prescribed.
