Open Mind for Change
Seeking treatment with Dr. Umhau provided an alternative solution for me to control then later stop drinking all together. I did not have to fight the urge to stop the cravings. I highly recommend his services to anyone seeking help.

Dr. Umhau has shown me the science behind my AUD, and the linkage between nutrition, inflammation and AUD. He is evidence based, and at the same time extremely compassionate. Dr. Umhau cares about what he is doing to help me. He even reached out to me during a self imposed hiatus from the Sinclair method, just to say hello and say that he was thinking about me. That reach-out brought be back to the Sinclair method. Quite frankly, I wish all my doctors were like Dr. Umhau.

Compassionate, effective counseling. I had struggled with AUD for years, and spent several months attempting to obtain treatment using The Sinclair Method through insurance. After being repeatedly denied by my psychiatrist, I found Dr. Umhau. Eight months later, I have achieved full extinction and moved to the ongoing monitoring phase of managing my disorder. My relationships with my children and my spouse have improved. It is a life-changing service.

If you are interested in a different way of addressing addiction, I highly recommend Dr. Umhau. I worked with him using the Sinclair Method (TSM) for Alcohol Use Disorder, and found him to be patient and encouraging. He offered a variety of solutions and amazing support. I am alcohol free after being an almost daily drinker for nearly 30 years. He truly cares about his patients and is responsive to questions and prescription requests. It is all via telemedicine, which is so convenient.

Dr.Umhau is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He takes so much time trying to understand you and your problems, has a lot of helpful dietary suggestions and very importantly follows the Sinclair Method of treating alcohol disorders. I am forever grateful to have met him, and I cant recommend him highly enough!!!!
