Thorough and a great communicator
My first visit today with Dr. Tew was excellent. He is very professional with a great bedside manor. He explained what was going on with my eyes and discussed the treatment plan in an understandable way. I am very impressed with my new opthalmologist!

Disappointing
My 17 yr old needed the pressure in her eyes checked. The assistant came in and without any warning stuck a tool in front of my daughters face. My daughter backed away and she left in frustration saying 'well I'm not doing this'. She was so unprofessional. Dr Tew came in and said 'I guess your daughter was not able to keep her eyes open to get the pressure' I told him if they explained the process she might be able to do it...He looked at her records and said well they got one last time, but maybe we just made up the numbers. I thought that was so weird.. (The assistant last time was so kind and able to get the reading.) They tried another option but she was still unable to keep her eyes open. I think if they were gentle and explained the process she could have done it. Dr. said maybe next year you can give her some anti anxiety meds before coming... not in a nice was but very condescending. I said she didn't have a prescribed. As we were leaving I could see the staff talking about us
